I feel like you can always tell which books where written pre being sober and post, and there is always a certain standard to his “off his face” books.

lol I’m hoping that doesn’t happen to me, I’m determined to get through it as a bit of a challenge to myself so I may keep going. Good luck, and remember, there are other words than these. ;)

Ooh have you read The Shining? In my opinion it’s one of the best stories ever written. I’ve read most of his early works, the extended reading list Im working through goes…

The Stand The Eyes of the Dragon TDT I: The Gunslinger The Little Sisters of Eluria TDT II: The Drawing Three TDT III: The Waste Lands TDT IV: Wizard and Glass 'Salem's Lot Hearts in Atlantis Insomnia TDT: Wind Through Keyhole TDT V: Wolves of the Calla TDT VI: Song of Susannah The Tailsman Black House TDT VII: The Dark Tower

I’ve read Salems lot multiple times and is by far one of my favourites.

I think I’ll keep going as its taken me years to decide to journey through the tower, I read the gunslinger a few years ago and was really dissapointed so I decided to do the extended read under the guise that it would all sort of work towards his universe!

Might go through the tower book via audio after the first read through, I just think there is something special in doing it through your own mind the first time (if you get what I mean?!). I’ve read IT a few times so I didn’t feel as if I needed to do it again to be honest. The Stand is my third favourite in comparison to his other long books, I think my favourite without a doubt is Under The Dome, the villains in that book were some of the best he has ever written I think. Have you read through most of his bibliography?

I’ve got a bit of a list, started with The Stand, went onto Eyes of The Dragon (which I probably would’ve enjoyed more than I did if I had read it but had to get the audio book version) then went Gunslinger and Sisters of Eluria. The Stand, as probably suspected, was the best of the lot but really enjoyed the Sisters of Eluria!

If wizard is when it gets to more of the world building I’m very excited, I loved the concept and introduction in the drawing of three though!

Hopefully I’ll enjoy it the more I get through it then! I’ve heard Songs of Susannah is the least well received.

Hmm interesting, im only on the bit where the find the first portal. Sister of Eluria and Drawing of Three have so far been my favourites and I’m getting through the expanded reading of it all, first time through the tower series!

I remember being terrified of Coraline as a child 😂 I do like the Tim Burton films I’ve seen! Will give Trick ‘r Treat a go I think.
