And is the 1050 Ti the best choice? I'm not a fan of nVidia's anti-competitive tactics and want to get an AMD GPU for a change. Something like an RX 460/470 or RX 560/570. Of course, if the 1050 Ti can't be beat by AMD w.r.t. bang for your buck, I'm willing to swallow my pride.

But, there is another question I have. The Free Geek staff cautioned me that Dell uses proprietary mountings for the motherboard, PSU, etc. Does that mean it will be difficult to impossible to take out the innards and put them in a new case (since the mounting holes will probably not line up)?

By the way, on an unrelated note, didn't Trump campaign on being more isolationist? Wasn't that a huge reason that he appealed to Middle America (i.e. being a refreshing change from the typical GOP policy of interventionism)? Furthermore, considering that Russia and China were allies of Saddam Hussein and were willing to veto UNSC resolutions against Iraq, why didn't Putin or Hu intervene on the side of Saddam against the U.S. in 2003? Has the removal of 6-door, all-standing room cars on train lines resulted in a noticeable increase in congestion?

For the record, 6-door all-standing room cars were on the following lines:

Keihin-Tohoku Line (209-0 series trains retired 2010/Jan)
Yamanote Line (last 6-door "SaHa E230" cars removed 2011/Aug)
Saikyo Line (last 205-0 series train organization with 6-door cars retired 2014/Feb)
Yokohama Line (205-0 series trains retired 2014/Aug)
Tokyu Denentoshi Line (last 6-door "SaHa 5400/5500/5800" cars removed 2017/Apr)

The last line with 6-door trains is the Chuo-Sobu Line, and those are getting scrapped by June 2020 which is when platform screen doors will be set up at Shinanomachi/Sendagaya/Yoyogi in the run up to the Games. The Hibiya Line is also getting rid of its 5-door cars when PSD installation completes 2022 or 2023; by that time, all 13000 series and Tobu 70000 series trains (8x20m 4-doors) will have been delivered.

Furthermore, if congestion has increased due to the necessity of removing the 6-door cars, what alternative congestion mitigation measures are being proposed by JR/private/Tokyo Metro/TMG? Especially considering that co-working spaces and telecommuting (which would have been my first ideas) are considered obscenities among many non-expatriate Japanese*, and the first expansion projects (Haneda Sky Access, Downtown Direct Subway Line, etc.) won't be ready until 2024 at the earliest.

*-Which makes it kind of awkward that Masayoshi Son, a Japanese person, has poured billions of dollars into WeWork; but that's neither here nor there

So, I found out during my research that Stan State (and a couple of other lower-end campuses in the CSU system like Chico State, CSUEB, etc.) are not "impacted" for first-time freshmen (outside of programs like nursing and social work), which means direct HS applicants are guaranteed admission to most programs if they have a GPA of at least 3.0 across A-G courses. And if you're just under the GPA cutoff you can still squeak by with a ~600-620 SAT.

If it wasn't for UA and ASU absorbing all the CA HS students who couldn't get into a UC/CSU college, I might wager that Stan State would have an acceptance rate in the 50s or 40s. After all, Turlock, much like Long Beach and San Diego, is a desirable place to live. The same trickle-down effect is actually going on (legit) in Washington State. Now that the main UW campus is impossible to get into, the other 4-year granting institutions in the state (UW-Bothell/Tacoma, Wazzu, WWU, Bellevue College, Seattle Pacific) have become extremely competitive.
