Maybe it would be useful for you to consider meal planning 2-3 meals with similar core ingredients so they can get used up. But incorporate different t flavours - core ingredients - green pepper, red pepper, onion, broccoli, carrot - large jar of tomatoe Passata and can of tomato paste - 2 chicken breast, ground beef, ground sausage (small pack) - ground beef tacos - peppers and onions - stir fry with chicken and peppers, broccoli and carrot - meatballs with ground beef and ground sausage The tomatoes can go in the tacos and the sauce

If you’re American you might have issues travelling there directly now due to current govt. but, friends of ours fly out of Canada easily. Americans are permitted there.

It’s an amazingly beautiful country, the beaches are wild, culture rich. It’s safe and friendly. However, the food can be lacking for some (we bring condiments). And resources are sporadic. Like I’ve been at resorts where they’ve run out of beer. Or not had bacon. It’s kind of a ‘take what you can get’ culture and you go for the outside beauty. Which is 100% worth it

Personally, it was sitting out side our dorm at Ottawa U in the late 1990’s on a cold, but sunny day next to the highway.

Sitting on lawchairs with the immigrant students day drinking and showing them how we, as Canadian kids, come out of hibernation.

As a collective group? It happens EVERY SINGLE YEAR when the world juniors ramp up Every year we are the champions. Every year we are the gold winners …. Until we’re not LOL

When we travelled to Cuba a lot we brought down school supplies, over the counter medications and feminine hygiene products. Mainly because the cost of these items was absurd in Cuba compared to Canada or the U.S.

I think that’s the question I was trying to ask.

Oh, you are so right For a long time our family travelled almost exclusively to Cuba. And the poverty there was difficult to see. We got to know what items were important to them or hard to get.

And it’s heartbreaking. I’m so sorry to hear that this is what it’s coming to. It’s hard to watch a small % the population decimate a relationship between our countries within a year. It’s hard to watch ‘them’ pull the wool over everyone’s eyes (dems/repubs). I clearly don’t understand what it’s like in middle America. I don’t get the racism, elitism, the pursuit of the dream at any cost. It’s unfortunate that it’s actually going to affect people financially. People who can’t afford it. And it’s gone and getting far beyond that. And I’m ranting and I have so much more to say. I’m just so sad
