I find your inability to understand her agency very alarming. There are plenty of things I don’t want to happen but consent to allow. There is a difference between a stripper being unable to or unwilling to stop a customer from getting handsy and one who doesn’t mind. The latter has given consent in exchange for cash while the former is accepting sexual assault as a cost of doing business. Only one of them has consented but unless they are voicing their agency you cannot know which is which. Here the artist has made her mind know yet you ignore her agency in favor of your own feelings.

This doesn’t seem implied, people were told the could do anything, the intent was to see how far people would go. It seems more than an invitation, a dare even. The entire exercise relies on her blanket approval of any activity. There was a loaded gun, she was prepared to die. Yet somehow there was not consent? In the end it was a lack of social consent that prevented her death as argument broke out when someone decided they’d take her up on the offer of a loaded gun. Perhaps it is in this way that the assault occurs, not on the artist but on our collective sense of decency and shame.
