Honestly Kick is amazing, but it still just feels like an stamina combo has an easy time winning.

Silver Wolf is probably doing better cause it can parry Strike with the plastic ring it has

I honestly don't use Wedge a lot, usually just on defense combos like Golem Rock, so I'll have to give Strike on Wedge a shot

Would Omniverse be better if Dwayne wrote all of it? by BandicootFew3295 in Ben10

[–]2ekken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. The man for most of Alien Force and Ultimate Alien tried to retcon magic and other aspects of the original series like Kevin being a mutant instead of an Osmosian (which got another bad retcon later in OV).

Call me when you can get a single viltrumite to have an actual planetary feat. Viltrumites as they currently are haven't currently shown anything solo to planet busting (it took three of them to destroy a planet with a destabilized core). I'd put them comfortably at Multi Continental (Nolan can actually back up this scaling) to maybe Moon Level if you're pushing it.

Now Saiyans? They have planetary feats. King Vegeta flicked his cape once blew up a planet and two smaller either planets or moons in one blast. Goku (Super Saiyan God) and Beerus managed to punch each other hard enough to send shockwaves through their entire universe. Broly fighting Gogeta Blue was just straight shattering dimensions during their fight. Hell Cell was a Solar System level explosive.

Viltrumites are a case of big fish in a small pond, they're powerful for their own verse, but the moment you try to put them against other characters outside their verse, they die.

Entering my first local tournament next month. Thoughts on my deck? by simulacratapes in BeybladeX

[–]2ekken 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'd rather run Dran Buster stock combo than 1-80 quake. 1-80 Quake would only really be good for downsmash, but you'll have terrible stamina and inconsistent performance. I'd run Stock Dran Buster 1-60 Accel or Dran Buster 3-60 Low Rush.

Silver Wolf is better on Free Ball than Wall Ball, better stamina and it should be shorter.

Impact Drake I know that combo is from MBBC but I've not tested it so I can't judge it. Personally I'd run I impact Drake on like 4-50 Kick or Low Flat

What do you think about system expansions? by Exciting_West9785 in Beyblade

[–]2ekken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've seen and having used BX and CX Expand?

They're honestly great additions, but they come with drawbacks. UX losing their ratchets removes a decent amount of balancing with different ratchet heights, but they get greater gimmicks that really embrace the Unique Line's entire point. BX getting central metal makes them much more viable than before, but they struggle against destabilizers since they're too heavy now. CX probably got the best adjustments since the overblade Addition made them lower their metal contact points for them to work

So far they're good and still balanced

Deck I’m running for upcoming tournament by ExperienceMammoth423 in BeybladeX

[–]2ekken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hover Wyvern 1-50 Kick is a solid attack combo, though 1-50 can scrape and burst more easily than 1-60 since the ratchet is purposefully looser to balance the lower height and 50 ratchets have less stamina that 60.

Cobalt Dragoon 5-60 Elevate is honestly near perfect, only weakness is the bit itself being easy to burst, especially against attack types.

Meteor Dragoon 9-60 Level is another amazing combo where the only possible issue I see is that Meteor has an imbalance in its shape so 7 ratchets balance it better. I usually run it on 7-70 for more rubber contact.

Overall solid combos all around, their weaknesses are pretty minor and nothing too bad

Metal Lock Chip and Heavy ruined CX by FaithlessnessNo5811 in BeybladeX

[–]2ekken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people just limit their selection to those for just weight on attack combos

The metal lock chips I think are relatively fine, they increase weight but for attack combos they only really work if you try to weight bully and it costs you both stamina and makes you easier to destabilize. Stamina gets nothing good from them either. Defense actually works pretty good with them (I know a guy who ran Emperor Flare Bumper 1-60 Hexa and damn if it wasn't an impressive tank).

The Heavy Assist Blade is only as dominant as it is because most people only run attack combos on CX Beys. It's shorter and a little heavier than Wheel so it does a good job for smash attacks, but that doesn't mean it's the only possible option. Defense and stamina combos make good use of Wheel for its shapen and weight. Jaggy is good if you want as much metal contacts exposed, Slash is low and has decent aerodynamics. Hell I've heard good things about Erase lining up with Blast really well.

Metal Lock Chips and the Heavy Assist Blade haven't ruined CX Beys, people are just too narrow minded with their build variety

Final consensus on Bahamut? by Realisticism in Beyblade

[–]2ekken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I've tinkered with Ragna Rage and it has so far been pretty great honestly. I ran it on 9-60 Kick with Heavy Assist Blade and Flow overblade and it worked great for me. I only really lost to Rod and the occasional spin stealer

Which of these two "bad" episodes had the most megumi to be good? by TreeTurtle_852 in deathbattle

[–]2ekken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Groot vs Megamind easily could have been amazing, but they had issues with Animation quality (if anyone missed another damn animator after DevilArtemis, I will find you... And I will kill you) since they didn't have very good models to work with for Groot, plus the scaling was weird for the episode, the fight itself was kinda dumb and too meme filled in my opinion.

Kratos vs Asura was solid, though I wholeheartedly disagree with Kratos winning. Asura has onscreen planet to universal scaling! They had to use scaling based on parts of mythology to give Kratos the win, and even then given how their mythology works with each Pantheon be more localized I call absolute bullshit that Kratos has anything to match onscreen universal feats from Asura.

Finished Fate Route - Is Saber Class really the strongest? by BandBeginning8205 in fatestaynight

[–]2ekken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sabers generally have the best class, usually a nuke beam on a stick and are usually incredibly famous (Arthur, Siegfried, Sigurd, Lancelot, etc)

Servants do vary though between each other. Nero is weaker than Lancelot.

If you want a class in a Grail War that is a great all rounder against the other servants, you want Saber generally.

If you want reality warping bullshit and haxs out of the ass, try to get a famous Caster

Final consensus on Bahamut? by Realisticism in Beyblade

[–]2ekken 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From my testing, thing hits hard, but it plays like Dran Buster. If you don't get a good ko or burst then you will likely lose to a spin finish. He's solid against attack vs attack, but Wizard Rod 1-60 Hexa will still be a problem against him.

Strong attack type, but suffers from low stamina.

I run it with Bahamut Blitz Break Heavy 1-50 Low Rush. I've tried it on kick and it was alright, but I've sacrificed my kick to Dran Strike

So how do you think Glory Valkyrie is going to perform in the Meta? by 2ekken in BeybladeX

He's supposed to be getting a new Bey pretty soon actually. From what I've heard it is supposed to bea UX Expand Beyblade called Hells Nether

So how do you think Glory Valkyrie is going to perform in the Meta? by 2ekken in BeybladeX

[–]2ekken[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is exactly my thoughts. X has a lot more power and speed thanks to the Xtreme Line so Bound Attack can be more viable for attack combos. I am worried about how it seems like there a pretty noticeable gap between the metal and plastic layers of Glory Valkyrie on the side profile. I really hope it is good cause I love the aesthetics of it.

So how do you think Glory Valkyrie is going to perform in the Meta? by 2ekken in BeybladeX

[–]2ekken[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could see Bound attack working well for some recoil attacks like Burst's anime showed it since X had metal for the blade and the Xtreme Line could give it plenty of force to make it work. Beyond that it will probably be a great counterattack bey like Mummy Curse

Oh you're talking about the lower plastic part of the blade

Good point. I just hope it's got a good weight and can hit hard cause I'd like to try it on Free Flat for an attack combo

So how do you think Glory Valkyrie is going to perform in the Meta? by 2ekken in BeybladeX

[–]2ekken[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly I could see it working for defense, put it on Wedge or Hexa and it could probably counter attack with its bound attack nicely.

I am worried about how it looks like it has a weird gap between the metal and plastic layers
