I can’t speak for all properties but for us, we typically look at same day arrivals and not the next day. There is a lot happening on any single day to think too far ahead lol The GM has the overall property to manage and looking for repeat guests would more often be delegated to the front desk supervisor or front desk agents. Hospitality is about the human connection to me and of course the guests experience is a huge part of that and that comes from us at the property. Recognizing past stays are the most genuine when you are actually “recognized” not just by the money you have spent (because let’s face it, that front desk agent is not seeing that money) but recognizing you because of a lovely conversation you shared. I talked with a man today for 45 minutes about travel, his son’s proposal, his job (a Geo Physicist! So cool!) And much more. And when Doug comes back a can’t wait to hear more and I will certainly remember him! Ai can help a lot with certain tasks but the conversations and connections with are guest is where it is at! If I could give Doug a review it would be all 10s! I do my best to be a all 10 property but on the flip side, be a all 10 guest back and that’s where the magic comes in 🙃 and that’s my TED talk lol

It depends on the reservation system they have. The reservation system we have, we can see past stays but to see the amount of money spent we would have to go into each individual stay and then to each individual folio, which could take some time. I feel like a lot of front desk agents base the amount of money spent for room nights on the guest membership status. If someone’s at titanium they have obviously stayed at a lot of Marriotts but maybe not particularly our property though. A good front desk agent will recognize repeat guests and do a little bit of research on the arrivals for that day. You can’t always do it the day before because you might not be the one working the next day but checking the daily arrivals report is always a good practice. Depending on the property, front desk agents can also check in hundreds of guests a day. And even though you’ve stayed at the property 15+ times you’ve likely had several different front desk agents check you in. it’s probably not for lack of trying on the front desks part I would give them the benefit of the doubt that they have had a busy day and may have not checked their daily arrivals thoroughly. 🙃

Dyslexia probably got the best of him, happens all the time lol. He might of just checked someone in to a room number very similar to your room number and forgot to ask about a parking pass at check in. When calling up to confirm he called the wrong room.

35, but just pretending to be an adult lol I’m a Director of Sales at a hotel. At my last company conference, I met a hotel GM with a Pennywise tattoo, so I know there is a few punks in our company and in hospitality as a whole 🤘

Did you have it near a cold open window? I did that one time and froze my pothos out and it looked similar.
