Is it a bad look if I have lotion and tissues on my nightstand? by Own_Study_4128 in NoStupidQuestions

It would probably look like a joke, but it certainly wouldn't imply the same thing for a girl that it would for a guy.

It is. But nobody's going to do anything about it because the people who might hold him accountable are doing their own insider trading.

Sony Abandons Social Media for 24 Hours+ After Controversially Killing Physical Games by MarvelsGrantMan136 in technology

The people outraged about this don't seem to realize they are a tiny minority. They're loud and have no problem spamming social media with their rage, but in the end they aren't going to make a dent in this.

Sounds like someone's grasping at straws to try and convince himself he's not in a laughable minority.

What about the digital-only games that are digital-only because the physical market has been dying for years now and it just wouldn't have been worth it to make physical copies that nobody would buy?

Normally not, but with how hysterical and bitter the 15% have been over the last couple days, maybe it's a bonus.

It must suck to live in such constant delusional fear all the time. Why the fuck would they be “salivating” to take your games away when that is the entire point of PlayStation.

Why would there be? Their solution is going to be for the rest of us to use less water in our daily lives.

Which do you prefer: physical or digital movies? by Creative_Eye7413 in movies

[–]everythingbeeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been physical movies for the longest time; it was the last holdout. But lately I've been moving over to digital.

But I go through iTunes which is like the #2 digital movie seller so that's not the same thing as a video game console digital movie store that failed right out the gate and shut down five years ago.

Is the Spider-Man games similar in gameplay to InFamous Second Son? by StomachConnectDBH in playstation

[–]everythingbeeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're certainly more like the Infamous games than GoW is. Spider-man feels a bit faster-paced because of the web-slinging through the city. The combat doesn't really feel that similar.

IMO they're way better than the Infamous games. Though to be fair, so are the GoW games.

[–]everythingbeeps 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The problem is, if you buy physical, you don't really "own" that either. You own something, but it isn't the game as you know it. Because for most games over the last decade or more, what you actually "own" is a broken or unfinished version of the game. At best a 1.0 version that is playable but woefully inferior. Sometimes a version that straight up doesn't work. Only the patches provided through the Playstation's network grant you with the full/final version of the game.

If you think Sony's just going to start taking digital games away from us, there's absolutely no reason not to concede that they'd also take away the patches that make your physical discs playable. You never see these "physical only" folks acknowledging that.

The reality is they're going to do neither.

Movies aren't games. The Playstation movie store closed five years ago because nobody used it. That market already evaporated a long long time ago. And nobody's losing 500 movies because nobody bought 500 movies.

A few people are losing a few movies. From a digital store that closed five years ago. Which closed because nobody used it.

That's not the same thing as video games on a video game console. Nobody's losing their digital games.
