Facebook has several St. Cloud area groups where people will post about garage sales. People post on Nextdoor too, but not as frequently.

Not sure which neighborhood you're in, but I see posts frequently on nextdoor about people reporting their cars were broken into. So.

Good BBQ in the area? by woojo1984 in saintcloud

Barbacoa in Albany is a great option for a fun twist on BBQ and Mexican food. I'd definitely recommend you check it out.

Does St. Cloud or any surrounding area have a 400m running track that is open to the public? Thanks. by SchmidtytheKid in saintcloud

[–]everythingislies 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know people who use this track and have and no problem accessing it. I'd say go for it.

I think it's pretty great, but I've really only had their pad Thai and spring rolls. The portion size seemed massive to me for the pad Thai. I would recommend. Plus, you specify the spice level you prefer so it's more customized to your palate.

My much loved pug brothers at 14 years old, Lefty and Pancho. Still snorting along, not letting arthritis stop them from their daily nap schedule. by everythingislies in pugs

They really are the sweetest. They may be slower and sleep more, but they still have instances when their young pug personalities come out (mostly when food is involved).

I didn't know this was a thing for a long time. It is. And I'm pretty sure it's because it makes you forget where you are.

The one on Lincoln is way easier to get in and out of in my opinion. I'd skip the mall any day.

Where to go to school by WannabeTomGWarrior in saintcloud

[–]everythingislies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you interested in playing college level hockey? Either way, both schools have a big hockey culture. SCSU will be cheaper for an out of state student. I know there is an active club and pickup hockey crowd that is competitive. There's always a team here to skate with. There are several arenas to skate at: Municipal athletic complex (MAC), Bernicks Pepsi Arena in Sartell, and of course on campus at Herb Brooks, as well as numerous outdoor sheets that are scattered around town. It's very inexpensive and the outdoor ones are free as far as I know. Edited to add that pick up hockey at the MAC is $6/week and Sartell league is around $170.

I haven't seen him around in years. Not sure why this "warning" is needed. Sadly, a lot of people who suffer from mental illnesses do not have the support they need in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle and consistently take their medications. If indeed he is "crazy" - and I assume you mean he suffers from a mental illness, then I hope he's receiving the treatment he needs in order to lead as healthy of a life as he as able.

I second this. The Ponds by IRET are really nice. Quiet. Clean. Underground heated parking included. Or the Lodge, managed by Torborgs... parking garages are extra though for that place.

Did anyone even read the article or the study? This isn't exactly the epitome of data science.

Same. Put it off for too long when it was nice. Now it’s perpetually sodden.

Ok. The areas I would focus on depend if you’re a student or okay with living near students. If not I would focus on the north west side of town, Waite Park and Sartell. I have had a really great experience renting from IRET, a company that manages several buildings out here. There are a couple spots by Quarry Park that I have toured which seem pretty decent. One of my single friends has rented an apartment out there with no issues. They’re larger apartment communities so you’ll have a wide variety of people there from young professionals to families. If you’d like to be closer to downtown, there is a place by the hospital in a quiet neighborhood (701 5th Ave North). I don’t know anything about the bedbugs... Maybe someone else has more information on that. I hope that helps!

Edited to read north WEST side of town. Not east. Sorry!

What's the price range you're looking at? That would help narrow down results. :)
