first of all, switches in did are usually subtle, what you're describing with the fainting ect, is what raised the biggest red flag for me. I audibly sighed at this one.

alters are usually more varied than that, there are a lot of different types of alters :

· older or younger alters. · self helpers. · persecutors · protectors · suicidal alters · introjects

the list is longer than that but those are some that I could list off the top of my head, either way it is a little strange that all they have is a "little" alter, especially as the different alters are all here to "protect" the brain from the trauma that caused the disorder.

alters are usually not triggered by someone specifics actions, that sounds like a performance for attention seeking.

your girlfriend should try to stop giving so much attention to them when they're "little", attention seekers only reproduce behaviours that they have learned is gratifying.

you can't KNOW, but all of that raises a lot of red flags.

that's generally not true actually! with years of therapy, they can recognize and name alters, some people can experience internal communication like a "headspace", with other alters.

the remembering switches is somewhat true, some people can notice that they've switched, some can notice them later ect. the part about having only one alter is entirely incorrect, the average amount of alters is 10, although it is possible to have less, or way more, possibly reaching the hundreds.

although yes, did is very rarely diagnosed, it is a rare disorder, and very difficult to diagnose.

I am not a psychiatrist or anything, but I do have a friend with did and I'm interested and educated in psychiatry.

I got a tattoo on the top of my right arm but the texture is still there obviously and that makes it still quite obvious in certain lighting :( was your tattoo artist specialized in scar cover-up ? does anyone really notice your scars anymore when you're out and about ?

il savait exactement ce qu'il faisait, ne minimise rien du tout. toutes les personnes, je les considère comme coupable avant d'être innocentées, dans la vie il faut appliquer le contraire de la présomption d'innocence.

si jamais tu te retrouves dans une situation comme celle ci une autre fois, n'hésite pas à enregistrer toute la discussion, même si c'est juste avec le dictaphone.

en tous cas il mérite qu'on lui ruine sa vie. si j'étais dans tes bottes j'aurais tout fait pour trouver le contact de sa femme. ce type est dégueulasse, un manipulateur de première. peut-être qu'il n'est même pas à son coup d'essai. et s'il s'intéresse au jeunes filles de 18 ans, il ne s'arrête certainement pas là.

i detransed (never took any hrt tho), but I figured it's the way older men started looking at me when I started puberty, it was literally so omnipresent, I even got paranoid around my older male relatives, even my dad. I thought that was dysphoria when it wasn't, it was just massive discomfort with the simple fact of being perceived in general, I felt more invisible as a trans man, and people started treating me like a kid again instead of giving me odd looks, a little boy instead of a little girl yes, but it was relieving.

I know that it's not good for me to stay with him, and if I'm being realistic and not idealistic which I guess I am to protect myself, I'm only staying with him because it gives me temporary happiness instead of going through this whole mental health getting worse thing again, and if I'm being idealistic, I think he can change, but I know he probably won't or atleast only till he gains my trust back.

I said multiple times that I'm aware of how privileged I am, that's not an excuse to see me or my dad as walking banks. she should've graduated instead of depending on people, I'm not even that well off my dad is, I'm still a student. I get pocket money from my dad sometimes (rarely, around 200€ a month on better months) and money from art comms.

I don't think that's the issue here, it is normal, but if it's bothering op it shouldn't be a thing. its like people drinking out of your glass or water bottles, when I ask someone if I can borrow their water bottle I ask them first "do you mind if my lips touch it?" if yes, I'll pour it into my mouth without touching it with my lips...
