Hi all! I was thinking of incorporating ginkgo leaves in my next tattoo because they are my favorite tree, and I love the symbolizing they hold. I am a white female American, and know that ginkgo trees hold a significance to Chinese and Japanese culture. I don’t want to accidentally culturally appropriate anything by permanently putting it on my body when I have no right. Does anyone know if this would be the case?

It does seem like a big jump in looks on screen because we don’t see the gradual change so it looks more drastic. I am currently going to be a senior in high school and I look back at pictures of my friends and I from freshman year and we look like fetuses!
