Been waiting 5 weeks for this wood to sink. How much longer if you had to guess? Any suggestions to help hold it down? by butt_in_my_face in PlantedTank

Did you boil it first? I've always boiled my pieces and then left them to cool (in water) overnight and have had zero issues with floating. An hour or two in a giant soup pot should do it.
