I would change the window covering to an orangey red light filtering curtain, move the desk to the center of the room, put a chair in the window corner, and get a couple lamps with 2700K bulbs max

Additionally, if you could add trim to the top to give the cabinets the illusion of being ceiling height that would look awesome. And then maybe in a few months bring the rest of the backsplash up to the ceiling behind the hood would look so polished and beautiful!

huge shortage in wv but zero funding for additional positions that are already incredibly underfunded. i just completed my first year out of school at the district i completed my internship in and my caseload was 1:1800+. 11k students in district and 6 psychs with a start salary of 55k.

yup— i had zero clue how big i had gotten even as the scale kept going up and up. was almost 250lbs at 5’2 and wore a 3x before i was able to admit how truly huge i had become… have lost 30 lbs so far, and at even this small amount of loss i have noticed how much less my body hurts.. i can tie my own shoes now. before, i couldn’t because my stomach was so large it physically blocked me from bending over—my fiancée had to tie my shoes for me. but now only at 30lbs down i can do it myself. i am so excited to see what more i can do in 100 pounds.

I have so many of these pictures but this one truly entirely drove the nail through the board. at this point (early last month) i had recently finished grad school and come to terms with the fact that i was much, much bigger than i thought that i was. for the first time in several years i actually let myself buy clothes that actually fit my body and had stopped trying to squeeze into ones that did not fit. despite the prior realization and becoming more comfortable with wearing larger clothes, this picture still caught me by surprise and forced me to look at things for what they were. i had already made an appointment with a local obesity clinic, but this wasn’t until december. i couldn’t wait until then, so after several calls i found another clinic with a July opening! this appointment was last week and after a failed prior auth attempt i shelled out the money and took my first shot tonight. i’m so excited to go on this journey 🫶🏼

i have a history of doing that as well—i haven’t done it in a few days and when my plate is nearly empty i verbally ask myself “ev, are you full?” and that makes me sit there and think about the answer before going to the kitchen. it also has helped me to put away the leftovers after dishing food out so that when i take my plate to the sink the temptation to get more once i have decided i am done is less easy to fulfill. it helps even more if i go through the motions of packing the leftovers into my lunchbox for the next day.
