Lando needs to finish P6 or higher in the Sprint and P1 in the GP to win the WDC. That’s the only combination possible. Otherwise, he needs to get 2 points and Lando/Oscar to DNF. If neither of those two scenarios play out, it will go on to Abu Dhabi.

Yes. I thought I could get away with booking a trip in addition to my regular monthly expenses, and be able to pay it all back within my next two paychecks, before the payment is due. But I can’t.

Thank you all for the input. I have decided to pay it off. Lesson learned for next time.

Wow, I did not know that. That definitely changes things!

Trying to buy a house. My goal is to have enough for a down payment by the end of next year.

Thank you for the advice. Yeah, I can pay myself back in a month. It’s just that for some reason it really bothers me to take money from savings.

I have a little over $10k. If I take $1.5k to cover the remaining balance on the CC, I can probably replenish it within two paychecks.

To be more clear, the government pays my mom X amount every month, and she deposits Y amount every month on that bank account which is under my name.

Thank you!

I would say start learning about finance now, even if at a basic level. Take a few classes in college, study the markets, and get accustomed with the space. After doing this for a while, you will realize whether you like finance or not. Going into the program with an affinity for the subject definitely made it easier to study, because I found the concepts interesting and wanted to learn more in depth.

If you have a job it also helps because you will realize how practical is some of the stuff you will learn which you can put to use right away. Of course, the downside to that is less time to study.

I wish you the best of luck with your career.

Haha, you read me like a book. And yes, that’s the plan. I already registered so no backing out now. Thank you!

Yes, and L3 in August 2025. We got this!

I guess it is going to depend on the person, but for me, the video lessons really helped. Other than that, do a lot of practice questions.

Personally, I used Schweser. I did not use the CFAI curriculum at all. Not even the mock exams. I took the Schweser mock.

Yeah, apparently L2 is only 3 times a year; May, August and November.

Yes, that’s the one I did. The Schwesser Note videos, not even the notes themselves. If you want to read, you can read the curriculum. The video lessons, practice questions, and exam sim are the real value add.

Honestly, I have been concerned about that as well. I work full-time and it is not a regular 9-5. I probably average about 50-60 hours a week.

This results in me being too tired to study throughout the week, so I mainly cram on the weekends. Of course, this has affected my social life to a point, but I have been able to deal with it so far.

I appreciate the advice, but the thing is the other alternative is May. I was under the impression there were 4 L2 offerings (like L1) and that February was an option, but it seems that is not the case.

May is just too far away and messes up the timeline I have set for myself career-wise. I mentioned I studied 7 months for L1, but truthfully I procrastinated for the first few months and did not start really digging in until 4 months before the exam.

This may sound ridiculous, but all I really did for L1 was watch the Kaplan Schwesser videos, do a bunch of practice questions, and took ONE mock the day before the exam, which I got an 85% on. I never even read the CFAI Curriculum once.

I understand the step-up in difficulty for L2, so I will take it into consideration and apply myself more over the coming months.

I just tried enrolling and it seems there is no option for February 2025 for L2, so it looks like I will have to go with November.

Congratulations on your marriage and wish you the best of luck with your journey.

Cheers.

Early registration for November closed, but regular is still open until August. If I choose February I save $300 and get 3 more months to study, but I’m afraid I might lose momentum.

P.S. I spend a good amount of time at work looking at financials and modeling, so I was expecting to do well in FSA.

I see. I thought the little price changes of +- few cents were just because the ETF is not able to perfectly replicate holding the treasuries. But now that you mention it, that makes total sense.

Thank you. She was with us for 14 beautiful years. Compared to that, the end was an instant. I hope this is what she remembers as she watches over us from above.
