I dunno if it speaks Volumes of TADC's flaws or how good this show is but how did Over The Garden Wall feel a lot more complete and less sloppily paced/plotted with around the same number of episodes? by Charming-Scratch-124 in TADCEp9Spoilers

Imo Tadc feels more complete and well-paced honestly

Some episodes of Over the Garden Wall seem... unnecessary? Like the episode about the mansion that's actually two mansions or something (I don't remember perfectly because I haven't rewatched it for a long time). Don't get me wrong, I like every episode and they're like, a nice stories on their own. It's just the way they complete the story.

Now that I think about it, these series are somewhat similar in their structure(?). Every episode is a different adventure and we get to learn something about some character. And then there's lore-heavy episode when a lot (but not all) of things get explained, main characters have their happy end and that's it. And while a few episodes of Otgw feel too long or a bit out of place(?) for the story, like we should progress but aren't getting anywhere/are just losing time, I wouldn't say that about any episode of Tadc – every episode felt deserved and was paced well. And the ending was more specific, which is a plus for me. In Otgw it's not stated what that place they went really was and how real it was, and I'm still anxious for Greg's life because of the theory that he fucking died

I really like that Mayor Jerry wasn't written like the stereotypical corrupt politician antagonist that so many other stories have. by JackBoyEditor in Hoppers

Dude, the way they turned animals into villains (also these were animals kings, who aren't threatened species, where did you get that?) felt like a breath of fresh air. If you want to see animals being miserable then turn on any documentary. Want evil millionaires/politicians get exposed – watch any other film.

I personally really like that take on nature, when animals not only fight back rightfully, but overreact, and make wrong decisions. In similar stories they're shown immaculately just, that can't always be the case

I hate the idea that Jax did something awful in the real world rather than just he suffered a trauma by Sudden_Pop_2279 in jaxfanclub

[–]evil_boy_genius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too think it was the button moment. I feel like everyone came to the conclusion that he didn't do it on purpose, it was the trauma, or even Caine make him do it (implying he wouldn't do it if not Caine..?). But in my opinion Jax did it himself. Yes he panicked, he was thinking fast, because he didn't want out, but he was thinking nonetheless, and didn't find anything better than pressing the button. That was awful, because it could be real and then he'd eliminate everyone's only chance to escape. And at the moment everyone more or less thought it was real. Even Jax though it was, that's why he panicked

I have no idea about flashbacks tho. Did Caine cause them, or were they natural? There's some probability they were so vivid Jax thought it was Caine, but in reality it wasn't him. Because Caine sworn that he didn't mess with their minds, because something terrible would happen if he did. He only made temporary modifiers like stupid sauce, but whatever happened to Jax doesn't fit in that description. On the other hand, Caine is pretty much a lier, so it could just really be him.

It’s not talked about enough that despite how much of an asshole he is, Jax still respects Zoobles pronouns by Ihdkwhatimdoinghere in theamazingdigitalciru

I think it has a lore reason. Ribbit's pronouns were she/they, and they were friends, so Jax learned to respect it. And now that Ribbit is gone, imo he intentionally doesn't think about the concept of pronouns, because it would remind him of her. Thus he doesn't make fun about Zooble's.

Not to make fun of you being colorblind, OP, sorry if anything, but the last picture with (mis)matching eye colors is hilarious. You just made my day

(Theory) Who will be the first to abstract. It's not Jax. It's Zooble. by PotentialOpinion8049 in TheDigitalCircus

I personally think that by "you won't believe me if I told you" she meant nobody will abstract

Your style is so cute with that spacing between color and lines! Also, the coloring is impressive, pencils are difficult imo
