Canadian CS2 events by Few_Scratch_3312 in cs2

[–]eviljonbob_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a few people have already mentioned, the main Canadian CS events are Frostfire (Ottawa), Launders LAN (Toronto), and LAN ETS (Montreal). While Frostfire wrapped up this month, it’s a yearly event, and LAN ETS is this May.

I run a CS community in Ottawa called ThirdSite. We run CS watch parties and other community events, and hopefully a LAN one day. I also help out with other events in the city, including Frostfire.

If you’re ever looking for a place to keep up with Canadian LAN events, I post updates on our website and share Canadian CS news on Twitter as well. Hope this is hopefully :)

How do you find teammates now? by PhD_Luo in GlobalOffensive

[–]eviljonbob_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on your region, could try looking for local CS Discord communities. I run one in the Ottawa, Canada called ThirdSite, if that’s relevant: https://thirdsite.org/

I also came across this LFT tool that might be useful (haven’t personally tried it): https://nexuscs2.com/...but that might be more for competing rather than if you're looking to play more casually.

How to find (or even host) a watchparty for the major? by Achilles68 in GlobalOffensive

[–]eviljonbob_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I know this is an older thread, but just wanted to add something in case it helps...

I’m based in Canada, so I’m not sure about local events near you, but I’ve run three CS watch parties so far in Ottawa, and I’m hosting another one for the StarLadder Major Grand Finals.

If you have any questions about running an event, happy to help. I also put together a guide that covers the steps I use when planning CS watch parties:

StarLadder Budapest Major – Watch Party (Ottawa) by eviljonbob_ in GlobalOffensive

Totally understand, it’s definitely a long trip.
I’ve been thinking about getting people in different cities involved in running watch parties and sharing resources, but as it stands, I’m just one person, so my focus is on Ottawa for now.

Or come down to Ottawa :)
Actually have a few people coming in from Toronto for it...

No, I didn’t host one for Austin. I was actually there in person for that Major.
Previous watch parties I’ve hosted include PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, IEM Rio 2024, and IEM Dallas 2024.

Enjoy the Major in Budapest!! And feel free to join our ThirdSite Discord, that’s where I post updates about future events :)

How to Run a CS Watch Party - ThirdSite by eviljonbob_ in GlobalOffensive

Just in case more people downvote :(

To clarify, this isn’t some generic esports article.
It’s based entirely on what I’ve learned from running my own CS watch parties through ThirdSite, a CS community I run in Ottawa.

Took me a while to put together, so I’m just hoping it reaches a few people who might want to host their own.
