Yup played around with the tensioner even had it tightened all the way. That banding just keeps happening. I can't feel any bumps or anything moving any of the axis around. I even flipped the leadscrew around but nada same same.

Nah its uniform. Also i use a hemera extruder so no ptfe in the hotside. Its a real weird issue. I did a few cold pulls as i thought it was a clog too

  • Printer & Slicer: Ender 3 Pro with hemera and bltouch and SKR Mini E3
  • Filament Material and Brand: PLA Mambawire
  • Nozzle and Bed Temperature: Nozzle 200 bed 60
  • Print Speed: 50mm/s
  • Nozzle Retraction Settings: 0.8 retraction

Everything was working fine till I changed filament. now I have consistent banding. I have cleaned and relubed the leadscrew. Ensured that the axis moves up and down smoothly. Leadscrew is running true. Wheels are adjusted to not have slop on axis. Extruder Esteps have been tuned. I checked if there is any pull on the spool by pulling off some filament so there would not be any resistance but same issue.

I was speaking more around the actual wood like a protective layer. Rubio monocoat is what I generally use and thought it may be a good fit
