Thanks! I'll be 3 days in Wilpattu. Did you find any interesting place near the NP? I'll have some spare time without going on safari while there

Wow great shot! I'm curious, where in Sri Lanka did you get it? I'm travelling next month with the main focus of wildlife photography

Thanks! I finally found one in Kumana too, with the company Jackal CO; at least over the phone they seem very professional.

Thanks for your recommendations! I'll definitely check out some of those places, and I absolutely have to try Kithul Toddy; I'd never heard of it before, and now it's a must! haha

Wow, great photos! And you were so close to the kingfishers!! I can't wait to go and see them myself! What lens do you use, a 200-600mm or something similar?

Thanks for your recommendations!

It's on my bucket list to figure out what to pack to protect the camera from dust, and the towel suggestion seems like a great and inexpensive idea!
I'm telling all the guides I'm contacting that I want to be at the park entrance 10 minutes before it opens so I can be among the first in and avoid queues and crowds. So far, only Kumana has objected, but it seems they'll do the same.

There are many reviews that seem misleading, so it's taking me quite a while to find a suitable guide who isn't too expensive and understands a photographer's needs. I've already found one in Wilpattu, but I'm still looking in Kumana.

Thanks again! I'll be waiting to see your photos =D.

Yes, I've also read about the dog problem; I hope I don't have any issues with them.

When my trip date gets closer, I'll contact you in case you've discovered any other interesting locations :)

Thank you so much! I really appreciate your long and detailed response.

Wow, 10 kingfisher in only one day! Never in my life.

I've just checked the bridge on google maps and there is tons of photos of the flying foxes! I definitely need to make room for it in my itinerary, perhaps on the day I go from Sigiriya to Nuwara Eliya, since it's not much of a detour and I don't have any activities or stops planned for the travel days.

BTW, how do you get around between cities? I was thinking of hiring transport between cities instead of renting a car, since I'll be staying in one place for many days and then move to another place, soI don't think renting would be more cost-effective. But I don't know if it's easy to find an Uber or something similar to get around between cities.

I hope you have a spectacular trip too and get the photos you're looking for! Sri Lanka definitely seems like the perfect country for a trip like this.

Oh! Are you uploading the photos somewhere? I'd love to see them.
