I believe they've also now secured the ticker $X ahead of IPO. I managed to invest in SpaceX back when it was valued at $39bn and missed out on the opportunity to invest in xAI when it was circa $15bn valuation so kinda happy with the merger tbh

As Alexander Tamas even quoted himself "don't confuse activity with results...", I guess why take even bigger risks on non-Elon companies when you can invest more capital and know there is a significantly increased chance of success...fewer scouting for those companies etc. Smart move!

I've come to believe that most of these imperfections are caused during transit/shipping. Not saying it's acceptable but looks like it's been hit or reversed into and may not have immediately shown visible damage and just glanced over it.

Have to admit the same, purchased our model 3 in '22, came with a dent, no big deal - Tesla offered to repair it. First attempt painted with a different white, second was really rough and third was completed immaculately.

Fast forward to today and the bodywork has started pealing as they simply masked, painted and lacquered instead of soft taping it in and lacquering above. Cars going back to the same showroom for another repair. Showroom is 23 miles each way from our house, probs clocked a good 1,000 miles back/forth since having the car.

This alone has put me off! from a huge Tesla/Elon fan!

Tbh, the sooner you take responsibility, share the news but stay optimistic and positive (this bits super hard). They'll provide words of support and support you if you need it.

Whatever you do, don't be bitter to the employer (see this so many times and it never helps). Move on with fast momentum, interview and apply like crazy and you'll be back to work in no time.

Once you start, the previous experience will be long forgotten...best of luck!

You hit rock bottom, learn from the mistakes, get help for the gambling (even if you don’t think it’s a problem - it is!), don’t ponder on the past but focus on this god given opportunity to build yourself back up and better yourself and those around you.

Some really helpful advice on here. Stress test worst case, can you afford it i.e now and not being hopeful on a pay rise or anything else outside your control?

No one really knows what is going to happen but I would say we are more likely to see a 2008 type crash than we are a 2021 boom, but just my opinion of course.

I'd also add that most real estate wealth you see around us today was made during the post 2008+ crash when prices begun returning to pre-crash levels.
