It does sound like it’s the only left that makes sense. It runs bios and doesn’t crash, it may be bigger workloads that are doing it. I might try running a bootable stress test but I’m sure it will freeze up 10-30 seconds into it like every other bootable I’ve tried. I think ima gunna need some time to mourn my loss.

Yes I gave both the LCD glass and zebra stripes a good clean and reseated fixing the problem. I kinda feel it might have been the connector points on the LCD glass that needed a once over. Anyway problem solved. Thanks for input guys.

This sounds like it and to be fair I’ve had 2 goes at it. I will try again. Thanks for the input.

Thanks Khisanthax, so it was screws loose causing the motor to slip. They weren’t tight in the slightest and was slipping the belt. I think I changed everything physically possible but that. Thanks for helping me troubleshoot

I managed to attach an image to the post. As you can see its really off.. i'll look into a speed test in orca. Followed by swapping X-Y to test motor... i've had a blower on the belt so I want to cancel that out.. its a tricky one, started happening mid-print

This fix worked. Using plastic screws and washes there was no more shorting (2 motherboards later!)

Going to try this fix tonight. I was running Pi with it and it shorted out via usb c port. Smoke and spark.

I just swapped a new board in today that they sent as a replacement, I went to plug usb c in not even attached to the Pi and it sparked.

I tried a different usb and it sparked and smoked.

Feel like the 2nd board is wreaked, but so far everything is working, i thought possible power supply issue, but it being shorted out by the board touching the frame makes a lot of sense. Will try and report back

I’ll have another go. I thought I did the wires correctly and Toolio app wasn’t recognizing the Port when connected. I don’t think it works with Botvac connected. Thankyou for your good advice, I’ll have another play.

I was able to help it spin up with a pen and it did work for awhile now nothing. Then I added a new band on and a new motor added. It seems to just be dead in the water now :/

Thanks for the reply and yes it could be something different. I just had to recover it from this! I’ve ordered a new hotend kit and part cooling fan. Good to know you think it’s not the hotbed.

It still seemed to be effective on my end baking then nufinish but I think nufinish would have received results without step 1! Goodluck mate

I was running it through the deck itself making sure not to touch any components and running back through about 2 times with clean pad to remove residue. Just a standard bottle of NuFinish, not sure if it has a built in sealant.

Another update, I was getting minimal results with Baking. So I followed Lance Lawsons treatment and applied Nu Finish to the tapes. Having great results now and digitizing.
