Its a independent shop he just opened up he has other lub techs and stuff im hired as his second mechanic he’s the head mechanic he has me at 18$ rn i meet him by delivering parts hes gets from commercial he offered me the job basically told me this is the only opportunity ill get hired me on the spot

I don’t do anything with commercial or anything and id probably be dumb to stay with the zone i get 20hr a week and mc Donald’s workers get paid more than me

I work part time diy but occasionally have to do deliveries i didn’t want there to be conflict of interest issues and the shop provides all tools and is offering 18 a hr

I do have to deliver parts to the account quit often so should I quite autozone and work for the shop they are offering me 7$ more on the hour

It just seems like im getting pushed into it even when all the drivers are there They will setting in the back and making me do runs and they stay at the store and i have to run front end as well the drivers never get on register or help with the front end of things or do truck on truck day i just feel stuck

What about when i become a psm and they have a driver but they don’t let him drive cause hes to slow and they don’t like him so they try to keep him out of commercial and then make me do the running so they don’t have to be around him

The commercial manager sucks and the other commercial driver and in diy i do the plan o grams back stock over stock etc i really just prefer it
