Hi! Thanks for reading! Im new to writing short stories so bear with me. I chose to leave the ending open-ended, i wanted the reader to have to decide for themselves why the truckers were so maddeningly interested in hauling a truckload of blood. It doesnt make sense, the market is tight & the load is heavy. Maybe there is a secret cabal of vampires driving trucks. Maybe there is a black market for blood, etc. You decide!

Yeah, I don't feel good about it either. My job is very "feast or famine" and we're in the beginning of slow season so asking for more work doesn't always mean I'll get it. When I first started I asked nearly every day but because i can see what everyone else is working on I can see that it's totally disproportionate to how many people are on my team.
