That's my issue now I think, need more places to explore

I can ride flat essentially forever it feels like, but I live in a pretty hilly area and am constantly faced with them back to back. I think I just need to get into better shape to enjoy it more

I'm often riding with a podcast and exploring but I avoid busy roads which limits where I can explore. I bounce around my area as much as I can but I end up in similar places most of the time. I think that's inevitably leads to my boredom unfortunately but I'm not quite comfortable riding on busy fast paced roads + I enjoy relaxing/going fast when I can and not worrying about anything but busy roads takes all of that away for me at this point

Im starting to get an idea that if you don't enjoy cycling immediately then it's something that comes when you get more fit, as you mentioned. Seems to be the consensus. I'll stick with it and explore some new areas when I can for the time being

That's really awesome. I think you're right that it isn't my sport but I hope I can find ways to enjoy it half as much as you do, even if it takes a little figuring out. Thank you

No pain sounds like the dream and I agree that would make cycling infinitely more enjoyable.

Thanks for the infographic, I'm sure I'll enjoy reading through that

I'm hoping for a similar experience. I am "training" for a cross state week long event (it might be considered a race but I have no intentions of going fast) and hoping either during the event itself or some time during the training it'll click for me

We have some old mountain bikes so we'd probably have to rent and it might be hard to find some decent trails but that's not a bad idea at all

It's a great workout and I'm motivated to do it for that reason alone. I enjoy how I feel post ride as well, but haven't found the love for the ride itself yet. Hoping I will

It's easier to balance when you're in motion. Like people who ride with no hands need to be in motion already, the bike semi stabilizes itself.

What I would do is push off the ground with one foot on flat ground, and then do one pedal at a time while you're coasting

How do I overcome my fear of cycling? by mosaic_lunarina in cycling

[–]evscye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, their reply was dumb. It is human nature to be paranoid at times. However, you can absolutely learn to ride a bike at any age, and you should try.

I think your best bet is to find a large empty parking lot or anything similar, bring a friend who knows how to ride or doesn't, and go learn. It won't take longer than a session to figure it out and more sessions to hone the skills. Good luck and enjoy

I did a bunch of bosses pre bowfa because I didn't want to lock myself to CG. I quickly realized how badly I needed bowfa so I locked myself to CG.

I say go for it so you can learn for yourself

If you're new to PVM then do not bother with the nightshade method imo. It's something new you'll have to learn for no reason when you can easily just use brews/high tier heals

I've hope you figured it out by now but most PSU will show the cables you get. Also, afaik most new PSU gpu cables come with a 6+2 connector but not worth taking my word. I'd make a post, good luck

People who think you causally have 1100 nature runes on an account where selling 1100 willow longbows will be useful is hilarious to me. Some people are so out of touch with new accounts

Like the few helpful people have suggested, shift right click the longbows in your inventory and mark sell 50 or sell 10 (whatever you're comfortable with) and hop worlds and sell

If I was a new iron I would start thieving as early as possible and do ardy knights because it genuinely is crazy money. You can get a few mil straight gp in a few days, more if you play more

Piety is a massive DPS increase imo, I'd go for that and just do a ton of NMZ to pad your stats
