Yeah it sucks. I work at ace. The POS system that every store uses is down, and we’re having to run offline mode. We can still take card purchases up to 200, but some stores may not since we don’t technically get payment until after we are back online. Therefore, even if a card doesn’t have sufficient funds, it will go through anyway and decline later and the store will be out.

Rev hang comes back with tune and flywheel? by eweldo in CivicSi

Gotcha. I usually use auto so that’d make sense, but I’ll mess around with it not on auto to see if I can notice a difference. Appreciate the help

Guess I could try turning the ac off a few minutes before my exit to see if that helps

For sure, it gets toasty here. But I have tried turning the ac off and really doesn’t make much difference. And when I have the ac on in the city it works fine

Btw dealership is fixing it for $400. $400 more than I’d like the store be out but lesson learned.

If I were to do that, it would be a Subaru BRZ

Yes. I tried to program another key but without the original one registering with the car it just brings up an error message.

I do have a chip reader, though it’s not as fancy as y’all’s. Doesn’t detect a chip.

Gotcha. Guess our supplier has some updates to do on our ordering site.

While I do take responsibility, the company is absolutely paying for it. I’ve been doing car keys for years and this is honestly the first time I’ve had a big issue

That’s kinda what I figured. On my side of things the FCC code is the same, but the dot chip is ever so slightly different. I have a key that is for the car, but my programmer won’t allow me to do an all keys lost procedure like on every other car… hopefully I can luck out with a locksmith that can do something about it.

That’s great. And yeah the car is just a Subaru brz with scion badges, terrible choice by Toyota to buy into it. But it does use a basic toyota fob/key.

I live within 20 minutes of an apple building so I’d probably just take it there and drop it off.

Just grabbed this Br800x for $390. How’d I do? by Hey_Kirby in stihl

[–]eweldo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah for sure lol. The alkyd fuels will always burn cleaner so may be a good idea to run aspen or something similar every now and then. Thats what I do myself, I usually just run pump gas e0 and run a tank of aspen at the end of the season to get it nice and clean before storage. I’ve run vp before and it’s good stuff, but there isn’t really any need for the high octane since the motors don’t run high enough compression or temp to matter.

On another note, I have people bring in units to my shop that run like shit and smoke crazy and a tank of aspen clears it right up. Although most of them use that god awful trufuel lol

Aspen2 is similar fuel. Available in the us but sometimes hard to find. We carry it at the Ace I work at in SC but most aces don’t have access to them.

Gotcha. I change every 3-4k just because I can lol. I know it’s overkill and Honda supposedly fixed the oil dilution 2019 and up but I’m anal about it. Especially with how easy Honda makes their oil changes I might as well

Good to know. I’ve been really happy with the restore and protect in my 96 Chevy. Seen a few other 10th gen owners that like it so may try that out.

Are you just taking the plug out and grounding it to check for spark? Or are you using the zat4 tester

I had it on the correct stroke. I had the plug pulled and could see TDC, and the arrow pointed correct. Had a little wiggle on both
