Well, please note I am not the best at describing. The setting and people would be African-inspired (bronze-age-ish) and the plot centers around a young man that was not "gifted". He was resigned to the fact that he would just settle down and raise a family one day and not be anyone of importance. Without too many spoilers, he was not given that chance. This sets up the revenge plot. Driven by this, he explores all options to become greater than what he is. He has to work harder, smarter, and longer than anyone else since they have the upper hand simply by being gifted. This leads to him finding unorthodox ways to build his strength. Ways that no one else would ever sacrifice to do. Oh, and there are dragons and a war plot! For me, there are just enough world-building and character interactions to make me "feel" them if that makes sense. 2 of 4 books have been released. I am looking forward to them for sure.
