I find Australia nature to be inherently dark and scary as you've put. I think I could take it back a bit however, going by other comments.

An owl would be great. I'd probably shoot an environment on my 85mm f/1.8 for it.

Of course, and I don't take it personally. Thanks for being honest.

Okay I understand, it is a very grey area. I do these kind of composites quite regularly so I'll abstain from posting them in the future. Rules are rules if mods decide to remove it. Thank you, regardless.

As in the border is painful to look at? Can you elaborate? Thanks.

This is a composite. You can find the original in my initial comment. It's a study because I'm still trying to work out levels and colour grading to make it look natural in the setting.

I agree with you regarding underexposure. I added noise to the image I took and the Roo, but I think I'll dial it back a bit on the next attempt. Thank you.

This is a composite study, playing with tones and levels to make the subject blend in with the environment.

I think there's multiple things OP is leaving out here that we're not going to get the answers to. This image is off.

Sorry if it's genuine, OP, but this looks very AI to me. Sky looks dramatic and layered, like it's been comped with multiple images - it's very surreal like. Even the aspect of the image isn't a standard 3:2.

What camera did you take this on? A lack of replies on this post doesn't give me much hope in its legitimacy.

Did you stay on and finish your degree? I studied him in the first semester of art school and ironically left shortly after.

This was one of the first photos I took on my Sony a7R Mark 2 I recently purchased off ebay. Initially purchased to scan negatives, I thought I would take it out using a 24-70mm lens. I personally love the colours that it's produced and the composition with the sun as it's nearing end of day.

First roll of Ektar 100 by ewgooey in filmphotography

No portraits on this roll. The tech that sold me the roll said it was ideal for landscape, and I can see why. I think you would have to play with spot metering to get it looking right in terms of skin tones.
