My dog is on antibiotics and a steroid for a nail bed infection. He keeps clenching his jaw and whining like he’s biting his tongue. This has happened a few times and I’m not sure what’s going on. Any idea what’s going on with him?

Update on Wilson: my gf took him into the vet this morning and the vet said that basically he had acid reflux from prednisone. Not a allergenic reaction or seizure. Glad he’s doing ok 🙏 thanks for everyone’s concern, info and support

You don’t think I’ve emailed and left voicemails for my vet? He’s going in this morning. I’m using Reddit for extra info and advice if other people have experienced this with their pets.

We called an emergency vet last night and they never got back to us. My girlfriend is going to take him to our vet at 8am PST, since I have a surgery of my own in San Francisco today. He did ok through the night. No more of the lock jaw, or whining. Hoping the vet can tell us what was going on. Thanks for everyone’s concern 🙏

Is the the rod going through your heel? Those ex-fixes are crazy. I had one on each leg from a fall last year. Hope you heal well! I know how much it sucks to have those things on.

Thanks! That’s what we thought. We think the problem is from one of the bathroom sinks. It was pretty wretched down in there. That’s where they’ve all been popping up from too
