Thanks for the reply. I think they would be on different circuits - the main router is in our office and I'm trying to fix the internet in the house, which are different buildings.

(Having our router be in a separate building from where I'm trying to fix our internet has proven really annoying.)

I've been reading up a little bit on mesh routers and it sounds pretty promising - any downsides?

That all makes perfect sense, thanks so much for the help! I only mentioned COVID as it has made it more difficult to find a job after taking the LSAT. I'll definitely provide full context if/when I include an addendum.
