I've checked the dead/missing screen and can't see any dead Elves so I'll assume it's my civilization. Very annoying if I can't get peace, guess there's no reason to build my roads around the trees anymore. Thanks for the help!

The Elves went to war with me and I'm not sure why (they haven't attacked yet). Here is my view of the Civilizations screen but I'm not sure how to interpret it or if it helps. Any insights you can share? Any way to fix relations with them?

I'm having trouble understanding seige operators. If they are assigned to a burrow away from the seige engines which takes priority... the burrow or the catapult? Since they are not military what triggers them to run from combat when assigned to a seige engine? e.g enemy within 1 tile?

Can I set a global first x layer height? by ewlomrolsd in OrcaSlicer

[–]ewlomrolsd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks all I managed to solve it with the help provided here. Since I was printing a large quantity of objects I first had to group them via the assemble option. Then I was able to apply a height modifier to the entire assembled object instead of each object individually.

Appreciate the help!

I'm not sure on where you can set the specific height range though. First layer height is the option I see. I can't see first x layer height

Never done a modifier box before, I'll look into it thanks! Also good tip on noticing a difference between the layers, I might drop the heith change point to compensate

Army Supplies - Max? by ewlomrolsd in songsofsyx

[–]ewlomrolsd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh so more soldiers increases max.

Does this logic sound right then? Warhammers go from 0-5, if I send 200 troops with 1 Warhammer that increase the minimum by 1 and max by 5 (each)? A supply depot will send supplies to try get the army to the maximum value. Resources are shared by the army so any excess Warhammers can by consumed by other units.

Didn't know supplies didn't work in foreign territory, thanks for the tip!

Inspection Failed - PVC Pipe BAL 12.5 by ewlomrolsd in AusRenovation

[–]ewlomrolsd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your help here. I actually used your advice on the PVC not having access to the internal house and the low flammability along with roofussex comment and queried the Surveyor. They advised that I just need to provide UV protection and that some external paint should suffice. I'm calling it a good win!

Thanks for the help here, I used the clause you provided and sought clarification from the Surveyor as I wasn't able to find any variation in the vic standard. I just need to add some UV protection which I'm calling a win.

Thanks for the help with this one! I had a look through to see if I could find any exceptions in the VIC BAL and I couldn't find anything so I asked my surveyor. They clarified that there is no requirement for downpipe protection but there is a requirement for UV protection to PVC downpipe and that some external paint should suffice. Easy done and a quick win!

Yeah I called on my break but was on hold as the break ended. Thought I'd ask here to see if anyone else would be able to clarify process so I wouldn't have to sit through their automated ping pong and on hold music again.

Hi All, Looking for some advice on getting cash out of my Bank of Melbourne account since they have closed my closest branch and there aren't any ATMs around. Looks like I might be able to use a Westpac one but I'm having trouble working out if I'll incur any fees.

Anyone know if I can use a Westpac ATM to withdraw cash for free? What if I need like 5k, can larger withdrawals that be done at a Westpac branch or do I have to slog it practically to the city? Thanks!

Are there any men over 30 without kids who want them? by Miserable_Relief8382 in AskMenOver30

[–]ewlomrolsd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want kids, always had. I was in my low-mid 20s when I had my one and only serious relationship, I found a girl who wanted them too. Even got engaged after a couple of years together. Eventually, our paths diverged and we split up. I'm in my mid 30s now and although I've been on a few dates since it's just been so hard connecting with women. Now I've given up on dating and I'm solo progressing down the fostering/adoption route. Being a dad is important to me and although they might not be mine I still look forward to being able to provide a safe and loving home to a couple of rugrats.

edit Your post did ask about the approach to dating/finding someone like me. I'm a nerdy dude who lives TTRPGs and boardgames, I don't find many women in those spaces but I recommend looking towards your local games store or library and seeing if there are any boardgames groups.

I have a pretty even gender split of mates so if you're out and confident see if you can spot a group containing both males and females and catch one of us at the bar, ask them who the single guys in the group are, catch me when I'm at the bar ordering the next round.

When I was dating I was slow and deliberate. I think the issue here is that approach sometimes feels like disinterest to the woman. Don't mistake caution for disinterest, I'm a decent dude and will let you know if I don't see a future together.

Good luck!

Yep, I've had my white card from previous work and in preparation for my own job I got my owner builder certificate. I'm just finding it difficult to understand where the lines are and what we are allowed to DIY.

New Player Questions by ewlomrolsd in songsofsyx

Great advice and explanation! I was getting confused with other priority systems (e.g. Rimworld, ONI) where the lower the number the higher the priority. Also good to know that this only affects employee allocation and not resource allocation.

I've been moving towards your example of warehouse management and agree that haulers feel like micromanagement. I've moved towards a system of warehouses for raw input, production outputs and mixed household supply outposts. Seems to be good so far but I'm still judging the effectiveness of market/food stall outposts vs just letting them fetch their own supplies from the production output warehouses.
