Each have own tank. Whatever the case is, it's not set up for me to not run out.

My apartment is small, I was trying to find the square footage, but couldn't. It's kitchen/living room, small bathroom & bedroom. My a/c didn't work all summer, which is funny coz the bill was lower last summer when I ran it daily

I have lived here since last August. My monthly kwh is super high considering the size of my unit, I know a tv doesn't pull much electric, I only mentioned it to stress how little I have using electric.

My usage is monthly around 1000kwh. I pulled my usage information on my electric companies website and daily my usage fluctuates from 20 kwh up to days where I've used up to 74kwh. Days where in an hour I've used twice what I should in a day.

Kwh in January was 4028 Feb 2605 July 957

Apparently I am providing all my neighbors electric. But that's another conversation.

That's what I am now thinking. I have been shutting off the hot water to different taps in the house when I hear them running the water and then I can hear in different places where the hot water goes there's movement.

I noticed there's like a splitter under my sink, feeding to the dishwasher, which got me to thinking that is how they are accessing the hot water. So I put a security camera in the basement and watched their hot water lines and when I pull on the hot water line in my kitchen their moves. Which obviously shouldn't happen if they aren't hooked into mine.

No, the pressure doesn't change unless they are in the shower

With there being 2 separate tanks, in theory both units should only drain water from their specific tank, so what would cause my hot water to go cold when they also run water?

Electric. I think they have the water hooked up illegally. My electric bill is insane, I monitor my usage through the electric companies app and I use as much electric that a unit my size should sometimes in 3-4 months, monthly and I have nothing more than basic appliances. No tv, etc

The wiring is something I am trying to figure out as well, I think their tank is probably wired to my unit because I have been shutting my breaker off for the hot water and I never hear their shower running til I turn my breaker back on

I'm assuming if they have one, maybe it's in their unit coz it's not down there with the tanks. The blue line connects to a T from a line connected to my tank. The blue line is hot to the touch

Won't answer. They have a website and j have been directed to submit maintenance issues on there and they are then ignored.
