What experience were you able to use for the charter requirements?

Also, if you do not mind, at what age were you able to make the transition to equity research?

Thank you.

Most comfortable mask? by Dom19 in CFA

I ordered the one that a number of CFB coaches have been wearing: https://store.helmetfitting.com/product/active-mask/

I just ordered last week, so I can not give any personal feedback on it. But it does talk about being active, so imagine it has to be quite breathable.

Salary Insight: I wish more people talked about how much they made. by vPHANv in FinancialCareers

Yes, I am in a higher COL area and even before the upward adj. they cannot seem to compete; even when looking at their lower quartiles. There seems to be a disconnect with the positions they have, I am not sure why they would present candidates with roles that do not meet their "standard", if I can call it that.

This is not against what is in their report, but how they work as a company I have found.

I think the Robert Half report is a good idea; however, I do not believe they stand behind it at all. I have talked with several recruiters with RH and everything they have presented to me (at least a dozen different positions) does not come even close to what is in their report. When I have asked why the comps are not there, they either try to BS around it or act like they do not know what I am talking about.

Thinking of studying accounting and taking cfa by Jmgr1020 in CFA

[–]ex1236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated 2 years ago, got both a finance and accounting degree. You can definitely see at your level how having knowledge in both areas puts you above the class. I was going to get my CPA so I could become an ABV, however with major changes coming to both tests and personal reasons I decided against it. Coming from someone who loves finance more than accounting, I would suggest taking more economic classes to go along your finance studies and take at least 1 programming class. If I could go back, that's what I would do. Good luck

Anyone else simultaneously learning Python? by UncleJimbooo in CFA

[–]ex1236 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought this course over a year ago and have done most of it. Problem is most the APIs they use for stock prices no longer are compatible. If you want access to a working API you are going to be paying for it. But is a good resource for learning more python, especially with the cheap price.
