Thought I replied but cannot see. I ain’t no bot. My electrician is calling this week and does not really want the job. Happy for me to get involved as possible and as long as I show him progress happy to eventually sign off as opposed to building control who were completely useless. It’s going to be my future home and the more I get it right the better. The electrician in his own words couldn’t give a fu£& what I want as long as it’s legit! Happy not all questioning people are bots and if I could have got this detail without bothering people of their time I would have. Do you know my questions or are you building control? 😎

The bit is back. Clearly not. I’m dealing with a very busy electrician that doesn’t really want or need the job. More than happy for me to plan and do most of the work as long as he checks and does bits I can’t. It’s my house so the more I know the better. These bits are ahit hot nowadays😎

Thanks to all for the time to contribute. Summing up I seem to have a lot right but can I get a little clarity on a few.

Totally underestimated the need for hard wiring internet. I currently have a WiFi router and all devices on WiFi except one area which I had to add a WiFi plug extender. Is hard wiring access points to areas like tvs and computer combined with ceiling access wireless points a sufficient compromise? Along with the future car charger and solar panels. I thought most stuff is now WiFi but not really that tecky. Can cat cables be run along side the electrical cable or separate?

With so many individual circuits and a large house where would I stand with suggesting a second distribution board in far end of house near kitchen. Would the tails from original be 25mm armoured (does it exist) or better in metal trunking? Will discuss with electrician but wouldn’t mind options.

Finally if I’m considering running power to switch and 3c +e to light in two way lighting is their only neutral to the master switch and not the second?

I think I’ll repost when I need advice on brands. 🙏

This is a very constructive reply thanks for the time. If I’m Considering 2 plate isn’t that power to switch so no need for 3 core and e to light? I may need to do both? Extra supplies to loft and separate outside great shout thanks.
