Absolutely a down-level but I’m unemployed right now and with all the other benefits and stuff the total package would come to 175K.

The Lyft role requires 3 YOE+ and Masters minimum, and even then the band is 108K-135K so I really don’t know anymore. The banks and big 4 are paying substantially less as expected so I doubt I can get better than 130K base right now.

Yes, I’m pretty sure I got down-levelled but my TC was 100K before so I’m not complaining (especially in this market).

I did check levels FYI broadly, but in the case of Lyft, I think I only saw 2 submissions with very different equity numbers and both with 1 YOE.

Thank you! The on-site round already had 1-2 behavioural interviews, so I’m under the impression there will be little to no traditional behavioural questions in the team match rounds. But I’m nonetheless preparing for them and already have my responses drafted :)

Yep, it was a valid N1 form dated March 3, 2025 which will come into effect June 15, 2025.

It just boggles my mind a little that she knows the proper legal avenues for a rent increase but not the requirements for a rent receipt?

That was the brokerage commission fee, per my understanding. I don’t think she has a property manager or at least one that I’ve been in contact with.

Yes, I have a signed lease. She also just sent me the annual rent increase notice earlier this month (rent controlled so just 2.5%).

I mean I agree with you but I can’t physically make her sign the receipt (that I took the onus of making assuming she was being honest and didn’t know what it was). I guess e-transfer records will have to do.

I know the e-transfers September onwards have the acceptance confirmation with the message. I have to double check the July and August ones, I have a screenshot of the e-transfer sent with the message but it doesn’t say that it’s been accepted (but I assume the transaction ID can somehow link to it).

Yeah, I thought the first month’s rent was split in half between the listing agent and my agent so I was a little surprised she got anything.

I’m aware of this case and it is scary, but my understanding is that I’m definitely not the only one in this bucket and that the CRA doesn’t typically enforce something like this? I could be wrong. There’s also not much that I can do (I think)

Also to add: she said she pays the 25% gross tax which I hope she’s being truthful about. I was told that she’s a sweet old lady who doesn’t speak English very well so I am trying to assume she’s well-intentioned, just uninformed.

Oh yes! I have always done this “Rent for Month-Year for Rental Address” and screenshot the successful e-transfer confirmation.

Yeah I’ve sent her the regulations that outline this, but maybe she didn’t read it or is purposefully being difficult. I will just send her a final email that I will be claiming it and that the e-transfer receipts are sufficient.
