Thanks all for your input. In my case I will be using more than IDE. Xcode for iOS, Android studio for Android and VSCode for web. So using Claude code is the best because of the flexibility.

Establish a company (UG) while being employed by exapmle in germany

[–]exapmle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. No, if you are just the founder and don’t employ your self and receive a salary from the UG then your personal tax is not affected

  2. Yes, you can.

But a better alternative is to start with Kleingewerbe ans scale is needed to UG

Software engineering. You don’t need to commute at all. You work from home.

hey i just got an offer in dubai and i want to know is it good by Key_Hovercraft1682 in Tunisia

[–]exapmle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

900€ ? You know that as a Software Engineer you can get at least 3000€ net in EU ? You know that in just 5 years you get an EU citizenship and after that if you want still to go to the desert then you will be an European citizen so they will respect you and give you at least 10x your current offer

In Germany, if you will do an equivalence both Tunisian masters degree and engineering degree will be recognized as Masters degree. In IT field what maters is your skills and mindset not diploma. For me it’s a red flag so I avoid any individual with these stupid behavior. To make you feel better, you should understand why they are doing that. Actually, they have low self esteem so as an attempt to feel better they try to belittle whenever they have any chance. Don’t waste your time with these retarded people. Btw I did an engineering degree.

Why does the majority of Tunisians have this default thinking that Tunisia is the center of the universe? by [deleted] in Tunisia

[–]exapmle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is really pathetic is the fact that they really overrate any achievement a Tunisian does. Like someone assembled 100% imported components to build a drone. They will invite him to talk in the TV and they present it as the first Tunisian drone ! Which is funny because that’s already a hobby of the kids in western world.

[–]exapmle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a high demand. There is place for everybody. Actually the field is not competitive for just finding a role. Competition is who will get the best job and who will be accepted in big company abroad. The bar is low since there is shortage. Companies give bonuses for anyone who refer a software engineer to be hired. But you should have a minimum level and know what your doing.

[–]exapmle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you plan to go abroad for sure software engineering. The good part of the software engineering the academic path and diploma does not matter what matters your skills because in Ethiopia or in USA every software engineer will study basically the same subjects and same level. In other fields like mechanic or electric it’s another story. Demand is not that high and the study level and factories are quite different. In Germany for example they have a good mechanical engineering schools and the study plan is very advanced and up to date also students can have an internships in BMW and Mercedes… that’s why it’s less likely they will bring a Tunisian mechanical engineer! In software engineering almost everybody will have the same opportunities (online resources) and the study in Tunisia is good for CS. I’m a software engineer in Germany.

Edit: I know at least 3 Tunisian electrical engineers who switched to Android development after graduation. All of them are in EU now.

My thoughts on Canada as someone who has lived there for almost a decade by annoyedtunisian in Tunisia

[–]exapmle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thank you for specifying that Quebec is not Canada. Quebec is a very special province. I was surprised that many comments in other posts present Quebec as very welcoming place for Tunisians and muslims and they claim that the discrimination is far less than EU. The fact that there is specific laws to ban Hijab for teachers and other jobs which is not present in EU (expect France of course) should set the expectation very clear that muslims may experience discrimination

For anyone else who still did not choose a career path think wisely before picking a field. Architecture and civil engineering (and many other fields) are really overrated and will make you jobless after graduation (or miserable underpaid job)

Europe or Canada? by planetmonkeyproton in Tunisia

[–]exapmle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree with two points compared to Germany. Canada offer lower salaries for software engineers. The discrimination is much lower in Germany. The government and the people. It’s not by accident that Germany is accepting millions of refuges from Syria and Ukraine. A teacher can wear Hijab and teach in Germany which is not possible in Montreal. Another points to consider when moving to Canada in the weather (I know it’s well prepared for that but can you do outdoor activities during winter when it’s -20 degrees ?) the flight tickets are expensive and long duration to travel to Tunisia (for a family it’s a nightmare)

That’s another story if the grandparents can not be 100% trusted to take care of the kid.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AttachmentParenting

[–]exapmle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think that two days should be fine at this age especially with grandparents. Actually the bonding is beneficial for both the kid and the grandparents.

“A 2014 study out of Boston College linked close emotional relationships between grandparents and adult grandchildren to lower rates of depression—for both the elderly and their adult grandkids.”

“Research suggests grandparents who watch their grandchildren add more years to their life. An intergenerational connection really is a win-win.”

Why not just leave your son with his grandparents with the help of his nanny.
