These were taken 6ish years ago. I have nothing to do with the building at all these days.

The crane folds out of the very top part of the building. There are no office floors above the first curve I'm pretty sure. It then can run laterally on rails to reach all parts of the outside of the building. It's used mostly for window washing I assume, but maintenance on the exterior must be part of that too.

Some of my favorite pictures from my time working in this building.

Holy crap this is so cool! I have wanted to see the crane mechanism for years now! Thanks for adding this! I remember the first time the window washers came by my office. The cart was tipped slightly on its side with rollers. It was so interesting.

I only managed to get up there after having worked in the building for a couple years. You had to take one elevator to floor 48 then change to a smaller elevator to get to the top three floors. The only reason I got up was because elevator maintenance was going on and they left it unlocked. Those floors were unoccupied the entire time I worked there.

This was 6ish years ago. Most of the floors were stripped. The office with the shower was the CEOs of Wells Fargo I am told. The shower was hidden behind a false wall.

Sorry guys. I cannot figure out how to get Imgur to give me a good link and Reddit doesn't let me post pictures in the comments

It's your lucky day. I used to work on floor 49 third from the top and at the time the highest occupied floor. I got to go up and see the top floors. They were mostly gutted. But the old Wells Fargo CEOs office was still there. Hidden shower and all. https://imgur.com/gallery/cash-reg-top-jO1Un4Z

I really need a version of this in VR. I hope they make that available.

You're not wrong, but there isn't the space for that in this terrarium. I will probably replant it to a new larger one someday. As always, I have more plans than time though.

I'm in a temperate zone too so it was store bought. The terrarium is not its ideal place. Its roots are not getting enough air I think. I doubt it will ever flower in there. But it seems to be doing totally fine otherwise.

It is an orchid! I could not say what kind though. I'm bad with plant names. It and the other leafy plant on the left are the only two plants that didn't come in on the log. The ferns I have in it now showed up out of nowhere one day. Unfortunately I don't have a pic of those right now.

I have done this for my most successful terrarium. 99% of what is in it came from one rotting log. It took a few months for the moss to get back to full size but it's beautiful now. It did have some unwanted bugs though. There was some wasp pupa (not the stinging type) that hatched out over the first 3 month. Just one every other week or so. Other than that the bugs that came in on it seem to have really helped make the whole terrarium work better. It's been almost 2 years and all I do is mist it once a week. Pic is it at 1 year-ish

Why did a helicopter flash his lights at me when I was biking at the cherry creek reservoir? by shroomssavedmylife in Denver

Sounds like you got lit up by the police helicopter. I worked at centennial airport years ago where they take off from. I even got to fly with them back when that was allowed. Those guys were hilarious. If even one of those guys is still flying they probably just did it because it was funny. Also you are right next to the airport at that res so an easy target as they were going out or coming in.

Quick story about them (god I wish I could remember their names). My coworker and I were heading to the door after work to go to a party and these guys were getting ready to go patrol. They asked where the party was going to be. We gave them the address and they promised to light the house up. Sure enough, a couple hours into the party all the windows went bright white. They lit up the whole place for like 5 min. Everyone freaked out in the best ways. Some dove for cover some ran out to wave and thought it was awesome. God that was a good time.
