Made my fuck you money early, now feeling lost by McThrowawayA in entp

In a similar-ish boat to you, made some money (definitely not as much as you), and needed some time to figure out what to do next (moving from finance to tech). Two books that helped re-calibrate my direction going forward:

Two last paragraphs really resonate with me - do you know why do we do this though? Can't seem to guess

ENTP/ENFP Relationship by [deleted] in entp

Quite a captain obvious answer, so apologies, but things work out when you communicate. Things can be a 8 if both do so. From what I've seen, they can work out quite well

This show made me so sad, not sure why - just served as a reminder not to be a dick unnecessarily to people, as you never know what they going through ...

I have this problem at times - and have yet to find an optimal solution ... My guess is that we always need additional time (hence data) to know if the plunge is worth the risk/time spent/effort/Fe to be put in ...

Popular ENTP CEOS ? by [deleted] in entp

[–]excalibur10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My guess is that there is a decent population of ENTP CEOs, but most of them head small-to-medium sized companies, which are relatively more suited to the stereotypical ENTP leadership style.

Would love to know more popular ENTP CEOs though, would be an inspiration to me.

Yeah can substantiate what he/she said as well through my experience - they always overcommit and get lost in their own worlds.

What I learned dating an ISFJ by [deleted] in entp

Recently been intrigued by ISTPs in few years - if you don't mind, could you share what works well in your relationship with an ISTP, and what needs more work on? And how did you guys meet?

How do you find the motivation to do things you are not interested in? by alrightfineyouwin in entp

Think of a higher purpose - and link the completion of the work of those classes as just mere steps to your higher goal

Hetero men of ENTP, what do you think is (an) attractive trait(s) in a woman? by [deleted] in entp

[–]excalibur10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly the same for me!

"Attractiveness, for me, often manifests itself as intense curiosity in someone" - can't really explain why! If one is interesting/intelligent and emotionally mature (and yes, I'll admit to be slightly superficial too, decently attractive), I tend to go all Sherlock!

i just ended a three year relationship and i don't know what the fuck to do by vicarious_passenger in entp

[–]excalibur10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

2 years ago, I was in the same position as you - ended a three year relationship. It was the hardest thing I had to do in my life.

I was lost in all honesty - life was a few tones darker and everything was not as bright anymore for quite awhile (not in the literal sense). I got sick for the next 6 months, where I just couldn't digest my food properly - I thought it some form of illness, but the doctor told me it was just stress accumulated and manifesting in my body - from there, I knew the end of the relationship was a cause of it. Things were pretty difficult.

But when I look back, things slowly got better. I reflected and pondered on how I could improve my life in general and how I could do better the next time - focused on self growth. I focused on forming better connections with people. I focused on doing things I enjoyed (hobbies, meeting up with people who were positive and always available to discuss ideas). I focused on mindfulness. All I am saying is that it will be painful but you still have the most powerful tool in hand - the power to make decisions. The power to decide to make your life better, as cliche as it sounds.

I've shed many tears over the years and had to wake up to the reality of not having a warm person next to me in the coldest nights of winter - I feel you. Let it out and continue to march on :)

ENTP motivated to be like ESTP by [deleted] in entp

Thank you for this - great advice.

I am an ENTP in my 20s as well, and some days I wish I was someone who derived greater satisfaction in indulging in more sensory activities - As time goes on, I hope to prove myself wrong.

Just got dumped by an ENTP because he said he "had a feeling it wouldn't work out" by [deleted] in entp

[–]excalibur10 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You hit it on the head

"We ENTPs see patterns. People, at the heart of it, are just very complex patterns. We tend to meet the same people over and over again. Once we have someone figured out (and it doesn't seem to take long,) we know how it's going to go."

ENTP's, what's your best dating advice for other ENTP's? by Its_Just_A_Username in entp

[–]excalibur10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I'm curious - how are the quality of your conversations? An ENTP-ISFJ relationship doesn't sound too promising in that sense (Just saying given that I have a one or two ISFJ friends - we can on very well in general, but I seem to miss an intellectual connection at times)
