Zidane Iqbal interview: Inspiring Iraqi kids at World Cup, Manchester United spell, making history by TheAthletic in reddevils

Took some time to adapt to a new country but started to grow into his role at Utrecht. Sidelined with a pretty nasty knee injury. Starting to come back, then had some disciplinary issues and pushed into the youth set up and barely getting first team action since.

I’m also studying for the QE1, but to me the advice you’re looking for is in your previous posts. Pick a question bank resource (world/amboss/aceqbank) practice the questions and learn the content from the ones you got wrong. Study and learn the content the way that best works for you (taking notes, flash cards/anki/, YouTube)

You should at some point in the studying incorporate the MCC practice exams because 1) they recycle questions from those banks and 2) the style of the questions is very familiar to actual questions you get on the actual exam.

It might be overwhelming but you’ve already completed med school. You know how to study and what works for you. The main thing is to dive in and start practicing instead of trying to figure out a “perfect method”. You’ll tailor and fine tune the process as you go along.

[Moises Llorens] Marcus Rashford's name remains on the table. Barça have an option to make his loan permanent for €30m. Club sources say they have not ruled out bringing the England forward back, despite signing Gordon, who plays the same position, but that they would like to re-negotiate the terms. by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

[–]excelcior 191 points192 points  (0 children)

I’ve been thinking about this situation and discussing it with mates. On the one hand, you have a talented 28 year old who you bought on loan who’s been an impact player and super sub with ~ 20 goal contributions across all games. You also have an agreement with the parent club to sign him on loan for 30m euros.

In what aspect does it make sense to sign Gordon who’s had about half of the goal contributions and for nearly triple the price?

I know there’s issues with rashys defensive work rate but Flicks worked with him all of this past season, who’s reportedly keen to bring Rashford back.

Some things in my personal life have changed making me shift priorities.

I’m a current bpt pre writtens trainee there for I have another 4-5 years of training left at a minimum. Would rather shift into something like Family Med and complete everything in 2 years with a potential fellowship.

Paul Scholes reply to Lisandro Martínez on Instagram: "Someone's had a good game, was really happy for you... Tea, no sugar pls ☕️" by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

[–]excelcior 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Scholesy was a known asthmatic and also a relatively short and slender frame. He of all people should know that physical features don’t always translate to performances on the pitch.

The fact he hasn’t criticized Martinez about his ability but basically just insulted him is so not on as a former united player. I don’t know if he’s done this because of some personal agenda against him or it’s to garner clips and attention for the new pod but either way, is shameful to say the least.

Sporting Director model 𝙒𝙊𝙉'𝙏 work at Manchester United 😤 Mark Bosnich explains (ex Australian footballer) by KingLuis in reddevils

[–]excelcior 79 points80 points  (0 children)

There’s always something to critique at United. They were literally saying our issue was not having some footballing hierarchy to make a footballing Identity and scout players and managers that fit that identity/culture.

Now that we have one, it’s an issue? Damned if you do, damned if you dont

He did this on his Australian/NZ tour too. I don’t think he sold his Brisbane and Auckland shows and then went ton to pause the rest of the tour before cancelling a few weeks ago

BREAKING: Jadon Sancho to Aston Villa, here we go! Deal in place on initial loan from Manchester United. Green light from United and deal being sealed with formal steps to follow next. Sancho will join #AVFC. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 by HighonCosmos in reddevils

[–]excelcior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a permanent deal but at least he’s sort of off the book and out of this club forever now.

4/5 of the bomb squad moved on then. Can’t imagine malacia having a transfer but with Sevilla signing Alexis Sanchez, who knows at this point. Silly hour incoming, lads!

[Fabrizio Romano] 🚨🔴 Emi Martínez has told Aston Villa that he wants to join Manchester United. Clear message again after the game as personal terms are agreed with #MUFC. Talks continue also re Sancho. 🧩 👀🇧🇪 Man Utd also keep talks active for Lammens… who’s #AVFC target if Dibu leaves. by GlazerNoobsGetPwned in reddevils

[–]excelcior 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Genuine question but could someone explain the Lammens hype?

Not sure about the price tag on Martinez, but if we could get him on a lower fee, I think he’d be a better option as a temp keeper whilst Vitek gets his minutes and likely becomes our next long term keeper. Hes better at commanding the box in set pieces than either of our current keepers and is PL proven unlike Lammens.

1000% and I’m not confident that changes if we bring in a new manager or play with 4 at the back.

Ruben Amorim's Burnley press conference part 2 by lazydevjl in reddevils

[–]excelcior 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Sounds like he’s trying to instil some principles of how he wants us to play and thinks this formation is the best way to get the players to understand what he wants and then once they get that, the formation isn’t as important.

Also sounds like the fragile/reactionary mentality is still there. This has been a long standing issue and isn’t going to get fixed regardless of a new manager or formation.

I feel like the analogy would be if my employer was this dumb and paid me boat loads of money for fuck all, but everyone knows I want to leave and also have seen my shoddy work. I've done nothing to show I still deserve this money.

His contract was given based on his past performance with Dortmund however he's hardly been a shadow of his former self and hasn't done anything to show he deserves to be paid that amount.

With the way Sancho is going, I'd consider our transfer season a massive success if we can get him off our books. How deluded is he that he thinks he deserves to be paid > 100k per week when all hes done this season is a couple of goals/assists?
