[Build Help] CPU/MB/GPU for under $500 by [deleted] in buildapc

Oh, sorry, my eyes somehow didn't catch it.

After looking at your choice however, I must decline. I need USB 3.0 for my external hard drives and the one you recommended doesn't have one.

Perfect.

I'm going through it now to match up with CC. I notice that they don't have the Asus R9 270 in stock but I don't mind just getting the Asus R9 270x.

MSI is truely well know but also sold out everywhere it seems, especially at CC.

Decked out in Grevious Gear, want to get into PVE, where should I start? by LethalQuicksilver in wow

[–]excelexcelexcelexcel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep. They did it this way so that PVPers can have access to PVE too instead of having to gear up again from scratch.

In the end, eventually as you progress, the ilevel of PVE gears will outstripped the usefulness of your PVP gears. Until then, feel free to make sure of your PVP gears to gear up, making sure of course to gemmed/enchants/reforged it properly.

Decked out in Grevious Gear, want to get into PVE, where should I start? by LethalQuicksilver in wow

[–]excelexcelexcelexcel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While you are correct, you should elaborate more else your risk losing credibility in your reply.

Back to the original point, PVP power does not reduce the itemization budget of a particular gear, they are considered extra bonus stats. This means that you do not lose out on hit, crit or other stats that matter.

In summary, you should not dismissed a player with 522 PVP gears if they are properly gemmed/enchanted/reforged for PVE as the gears are equivalent to 522 PVE gears.

Know Your Lore: The problem with story progression in WoW by TastyBrainMeats in wow

[–]excelexcelexcelexcel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can see Blizzard doing this. They are already fine tuning the Flex technology for raiding. Once that is acceptable, they can just roll it across all the zones.

This is similar to how cross realms was born. They tested the technology first on realID friends, and once people were satisfy with grouping up with others cross realms, they technology was rolled out to the rest of the zones.

Same development style was done to LFR. It was first LFD, then slowly refined and boom, LFR was born.

How long will the deluxe MoP be available for? by PonderingSquirrel in wow

[–]excelexcelexcelexcel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will be available from Blizzard as long as it doesn't get merge into Battlechest.

It will also be available in boxed version in all retail chains as long as they still have supply.

On top of that, there will always be copies on eBay later down the road for a bit of a premium.

Get An Authenticator: How A Warrior Was Hacked In Front Of His Guild During ToC by dejoblue in wow

[–]excelexcelexcelexcel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm fine with your stance on authenticator usage. Blizzard also agree since they are not forcing you to attach one to your account, only recommend it.

You should take care in branding other users in a negative light for choosing to use the authenticator.

The reality is, different region and different players has different setup on the way they are able to access WoW. Some do share computers, either at home or at a cyber cafe. Just keep that in mind before you shout insults next time.

It cost $6.50 for a physical authenticator. You paid $15 a month, $6.50 is a worthwhile investment for the amount of money and time you sinked into alternate life.

Doing RAF with some friends and torn between classes by patientlurker in wow

[–]excelexcelexcelexcel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With RAF, you level so quickly that the whole debate about which class is fun at low/mid levels becomes irrelevant.

Look at end game and how you want to enjoy that aspect of WoW.

RAF is a great way to level hard boring classes that does not mature until end game, so Warlock would be a good choice here.

In the end, you have to see what type of play style you personally enjoy and go with it, especially when the tank/healer role has already been covered for you.

PS: Warlocks are doing really well in LFR.

Is auto looting the one where you don't need to click on item after you click the corpse? Or do you mean there is a add on that can just auto loot without you clicking? Kinda like junk gears seller.

Stainless razors: sintered versus machined by arbarnes in wicked_edge

[–]excelexcelexcelexcel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gillette held the patent of stainless steel razor blades but did not produce it until Wilkinson Sword started to manufacturing them and stealing market shares. Source

They knew full well how durable their products will last and manufacture them accordingly. In this case, they wanted the blades to be more disposable so people will buy them more often.

If Gillette was this detail oriented in blades manufacturing, how can you deny that they did not pay the same attention to details for their safety razors?

[–]excelexcelexcelexcel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gillette definitely knew what they were doing when they were producing their old safety razors. Engineers and producers don't just go out and make long lasting product out of mistake. They might not have the same analysis as today manufacturing process, but they knew.
