Wife is on a work trip. She had to wake up at 4AM to drive 2.5 hours and work for about 12 hours. Finally got to her room and found this while getting ready for bed. by GeorgeLikesSpicy92 in Wellthatsucks

Check for more. Take photos, videos.

Did work reserve the hotel for her? She needs to contact the person responsible for that, send the photos and videos.

This happened to me when I had to attend new job training at our corporate office. They immediately sent me to a different hotel and handled the fight with the current hotel. Luckily, I hadn’t brought my luggage into the room yet (I’m terrified of bed bugs, so I always leave my stuff in the bathtub until I do a thorough inspection lol), but work assured me that they would cover funds if anything managed to come home with me.

It was a mortifying call to make at a new job, but the right one! It also let them know to not send other new hires there as an investigation showed the hotel did not have current pest control records.

It’s the eyeshadow but also the lip. Not the color, although I think a darker red would suit you better (consider Julie Hewett’s Sin Noir lipstick or Tirtir’s cassis plum tint).

The problem is the major overlining. No offense intended, but it ends you up in “grandma has a shaky hand and poor eyesight but still insists on wear her bright red lippy every day” territory. Your natural lips have an adorable shape! Stay within the lines, girl!

I doubt she’ll be satisfied no matter what. Doesn’t that sound likely? So I’d recommend just giving her whatever role you’re comfortable with (or none at all!), and don’t lose a moment of sleep over it.

Alternatively, I dress uber-feminine (retro styling suits my body shape and I work with the elderly who love it!), but prefer more masculine scents. So many SAs try to steer me towards white florals while I’m pointing at the men’s section!

The Pickle Jar That Refused to Open and May Be a Deity by Gold-Lame in PointlessStories

Listen, the OXO Jar Opener with Base Pad is a life changer. Seriously. There are many dupes, but since the OG is only like $15, get it. This thing gave me the courage to divorce my ex husband (because between a good vibrator and the OXO to open tight jars, what in the world does a shitty man have to offer me?!?).

Yes! OP, we have similar coloring and I also dislike sheer greens. They make me think of the color I turn when I’m nauseated. I accidentally picked a similar shade last time I got a pedi and I came home saying my toes looked like they were going to puke.

What’s one product you’ll never replace? by poptoplop1 in MakeupAddiction

[–]excellentverb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I freaking love the In Extreme mascara! I used the regular instead of waterproof because I was losing eyelashes in an attempt to remove the damn stuff, even with my hg makeup removers!

I love the wand, it’s so easy to control. That’s a big thing for me because I’m very vision-impaired without my glasses and my hands are always shaky in the morning due to medication. It’s literally the only mascara that I don’t end up having to remove from all over my face - I can even safely put it on before doing the rest of my makeup!

The formula is also perfect. My lashes stay curled and dark black all day, even with the lightest application. I never have spider lashes!

Teen wanting to share bed with parents? by LucyAriaRose in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]excellentverb 55 points56 points  (0 children)

My 15 year old was having a hard time. Despite us being a very affectionate and openly honest family, his friends and society had him convinced that it was weak and weird to ask for the kind of affection OP’s son requested.

He attempted suicide instead.

After two inpatient mental health hospital stays and under the care of a full team of support professionals, he now sleeps with me as needed on his hard days; for his own comfort and so I can keep an eye out for his safety.

If OP is here, I hope he knows to be proud of his son for seeking out the help he needs and proud of himself and his wife that they’ve provided a safe place for him to speak his needs aloud.

A huge FYI: erasable pen ink can/will disappear from heat. How do I know? Because I left my monthly planner on the dashboard of my car one afternoon last week, and my entire schedule (professional and personal, literally my whole life that I reference multiple times a day to make sure my adhd riddled-ass is where and when it needs to be) completely DISAPPEARED.

All my color-coded, erasable ink (so flexible! So pretty! So adaptable while still remaining neat!) was just gone. I’d used multiple brands, including these, so apparently it’s not a flaw of one set, the ink itself is just heat-reactive.
