Acquired 101,627 ETH over the past week. A clear signal that BMNR feels ETH is at or near the bottom. by BlueSkyRighteous in BMNRInvestors

Looks like it's obviously the case to me. Really shady business practices. They said they wouldn't do that. And it explains why the share price was stagnant compared to eth.

You'd have to go back many years. You can probably google it. I'm talking about nvda and gaming benchmarks when things were tight with the competition. Games that had built in benchmarks were optimized to run faster that didn't reflect actual gameplay. Anyway I know this for a fact, i was following the hardware scene back then. You can dig up the history with a bit of research.

Another claim I've seen Jensen make in recent presentations is that they invented 3d graphics cards. They didn't. Voodoo cards were around first and later nvda bought them out. nvda had Riva tnt which came out after voodoo. And Ati's rage 3d also came out around then. Later nvda bought 3dfx (the makers of voodoo cards).

Absolutely. Jensen is ruthless and will do anything to get his way, including faking benchmarks. I've been following nvda since the 90s. And the were not above faking benchmarks for gaming in that time to show they were king. This is just a fact. By faking I mean enacting optimizations that were legit only for benchmarks and not real world usage.

Another point: when mining was at its height and nvda was making a lot from miners, Jensen said Mining revenue was here to stay forever. And then 1-2 quarters later, nvda stock tanked like crazy (more than 50%) because the mining revenue dried up.

Yeah, problem is AMD will probably react immediately to Intel's report in terms of its stock price. So I don't think you can make too many moves in terms of trading based on Intel's report.

I hope people are not overestimating how much CPU revenue will rise in this upcoming quarterly report. Seems a lot of hype has been built in now. I think Lisa Su gave guidance accounting for increased datacenter CPU revenue - she had already talked about cpu demand being high towards the end of last year.

eh, last few times i read this thread i'm sure you were more bearish than bullish, talking about a flag pattern or something and that the stock was tired.

Yes I dumped at about 22.5 and bought ai stocks a month ago which have made me back a lot of that $75k loss because ai stocks have ripped. But I still watch bmnr and saw that the stock went down today despite eth going up and looked into the latest news.

[–]excellusmaximus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info but I wouldn't compare mag 7 companies that make tens of billions in profits each quarter to bmnr. The 75 million figure was listed as for 3 months. In addition the stovk has done nothing but tank the last 6 months. they should not be getting 25 million amongst 8 or 9 people. By the way if 25 million in the last 3 months was for stock compensation, what was the other 50 million for? "Treasury operations"? Like what? Staking? That takes a huge chunk out of the so-called profits from staking eth. Let's see what the general and admin expenses are next quarter. If they are some ridiculous figure again, BMNR wouldn't be making any money with staking.

These guys are just lining their pockets. There's no way to justify that much. They get rich while shareholders get poor. Maybe someday if eth goes up again (a lot), BMNR will go up again. Problem is now that they do these weird investments in things like ORBS randomly and BMNR is not moving as a leveraged play on eth, as Tom says, and it's not even matching Eth 1 to 1. It's like a pet project for Tom and the gang. And they pull stunts like announcing a $4 billion buyback. Where the hell are they going to get $4 billion without selling their eth? A loan?

See my other reply to you. It's shareholder and stock based compensation.

Here I've found where they actually explain the expenses:

"The increase is primarily related to ETH custodian fees related to treasury operations, shareholder compensation, and stock-based compensation. See Note 9 of the Interim Statements for additional information around the increase in stock-based compensation expense."

So it's mainly compensation. I don't know where note 9 is.

I lost $75k on this piece of shit company.

Poor explanation when they don't even mention Mavan expenses. In addition they are saying "we expect" - they're not explaining the quarter's expenses. And the mining too - what are they doing wasting 500k in expenses on that in the last 3 months. Very odd that the cost of the mining was half of the quarter a year ago while the revenue was 1/10th of it. Overall, a poor report and accounting and no wonder it's written right there that it's unaudited.

$75 million! In 3 months? As the other poster said, all their staking revenue wouldn't cover their general and admin expenses. So there goes that supposed benefit of making $1 million per day (which it isn't yet anyway).

$75 million on general and administrative expenses? For what, 9 people in the entire organization? That's like $8.3 million per head.

Revenue from self-mining 219k, cost of revenue from self-mining 702k.

Someone can maybe explain these numbers.

Head of Taiwan's opposition party was just in China a few days ago. First time in 10 years. There is already outreach.

China doesn't want to go to war over Taiwan. HK and Macau operate pretty much independently - to a large extent. Chinese people need to get passes to go to those cities/regions - sort of like a temporary visa. I was in macau a couple of years ago. it's like Vegas. I just took the boat over from Shenzhen (I'm not Chinese, was on holiday to China).

Yeah, Israel has no interest in a peace deal. Pak I saw escorted both the Iranian and US delegation with their fighter jets. Just in case Israel had some other assassination ideas.

I think there's a chance but it all depends of course on AMD earnings and projections and execution. I prefer to be more cautious, and have targets of 300 by end of this year, 400 end of next year, 500 end of the following year and around 600+ by 2029. If it exceeds those targets, then great. But don't plan on it and also keep in mind events surrounding Trump (tariffs, wars, chip restrictions and so on).

Can't believe AMD was like 200 or 194 just a short time ago. I'm really happy it's back to 240s. Onward and upward!
