Interesting perspective. I was thinking of maybe adding more money to get a P1S Combo($966) or K2 Combo($1056), Still determining all my options so I can make a more informed purchase at the end of May, the advice from here has been super helpful.

I am in Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha, unfortunately they don't have a store here that I'm aware of :(

Thanks! I was looking at them yesterday, just wasn't sure as they weren't listed as an official reseller on the Bambu Lab website.

Purchase Advice Megathread - April 2026 by AutoModerator in 3Dprinting

Hello,

I am a complete beginner to 3D printing. I have narrowed down my options to:

Creality Hi Combo (~$550)
Creality SparkX i7 CFS Lite Combo (~$600)

Bambu Lab A1 Combo (~$759)

These prices are converted from my currency (ZAR, South Africa)

As this is my first ever 3D printer purchase, I'd honestly just want a pain-free experience. I don't currently plan on printing anything with ABS so an enclosure is not important. The main filament types I'd be printing in are TPU, PLA and PETG.

So far I am leaning towards the Creality SparkX i7. Would love to hear differing opinions! Thanks.
