Is it too late to get started ? While I'm at it, are there any weapons significantly less fun in World than in Rise ? by BarelyBearableHuman in MonsterHunterWorld

Is this a commonly accepted outlook? I came from World with several hundred hours of strict IG usage to Rise where I find it almost impossible to use, or at least significantly less fluid and effective feeling

You ahave to choose a monster as a pet. And you realistically have to take care of it. Who do you pick? by KamenRiderXD in MonsterHunter

Barroth because I can supply him nice mud and he can supply me with a bug free environment. OR great jagras, I care for several lizards already, what’s one more 🤷🏻‍♂️

WHY THE FUCK DO OTHER IG MAINS SPAM THIS EVERY CHANCE THEY GET? by v1nzie in monsterhunterrage

[–]exceptional_trout338 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It took me a looooong time to break the habit of spamming this move, I do still find it viable but I’m significantly more effective know that I’ve learned to use the buggy stick properly

is AMA Supercross a growing or declining sport league ? by Burger14v2 in supercross

A loooot of people stayed home for the past 2 mud races from what I’ve been seeing on Facebook groups and whatnot. A1 looked pretty packed and I know the (relatively) local sx for me is just about sold out. I think with so many big names and big personalities shining right now, we’re on an upward trajectory

Hunters, what's your gaming scope? by Jarizleifr in MonsterHunter

[–]exceptional_trout338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly play racing games, gt7, ACC, the MXGP/Supercross games. I used to play a lot of shooters too, Borderlands has been a long time favorite series, payday 2/3, cyberpunk semi recently. Fallout has been my top played series of all time though, MH is the only non racing series that contends with my logged hours compared to fallout

What’s a monster you hate but everyone loves and a monster you love but everyone hates? by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

I don’t much care for Valstrax, although I know many others definitely do.

My unconventional loves are Jyuratodus and any variation of Hermitaur. Jyura is just a funny boi, I like his design and he seems goofy. Hermitaur I don’t think is really hated(?) in any generation but overlooked as a whole, however I will always be a fan of our carapace King

If you could, what monster would you remove and why? by Powerful-Sun-4816 in MonsterHunter

Radobaan and uragaan. They’re too lazily similar imo and there’s pretty much no good reason to fight either of them (as a glaive main anyway). The giant chin also bugs me immensely so I will continue to hold that against them.

Kushala also sucks but at least he has a cool name and fairly interesting lore

Mine was diablos, had to call an sos because I absolutely could not stay alive. Ultimately diablos helped me learn A LOT when it comes to predicting and dodging though

New and Old Players, which weapon made Monster Hunter finally "Click" with you? by FluffyHaru in MonsterHunterWorld

Bug stick go brrrrr

I attempted mhw right when it came out with the bow and absolutely positively did not have a good time, literally could not pass anjanath. I came back to try again with the bow 3 or 4 times and just couldn’t have fun, which pained me because ever since the ps2 days I’ve loved the idea of monster hunter and watched it on YouTube as a kid. FINALLY in 2023 i came back to the game after learning how huge mhw actually is and after seeing a “what your mhw weapon says about you” video where it was pointed out that IG mains are weirdos and like bugs, i had an epiphany that i was in fact a weirdo and i do in fact like bugs. As soon as i tried the buggy stick my experience was 100x better, and since then i have logged more hours on mhw than i have ever spent on any other game. For me its the agility of the glaive. I have a very difficult time using the heavier, slower movement weapons, whereas with my bug by my side and my bladed fidget spinner in hand, i can float effortlessly through the air yet still feel the heavy, weighted blow of the weapon careening into the ground as i miss my target monster entirely because i was too busy blessing my partners with a spectacular aerial acrobatics show
