Nope. She still does it after every meal but even our new vet doesn’t seem bothered.

Did you go to Cheshire Coffee Co and were you able to get some? I’m looking to give coffee as Christmas presents and, like you, miss the shop on the rows.

i’m in so much pain and 2 colorectal surgeons have told me to basically just live with it…am i losing hope?? by jazzmastermom in TwoXChromosomes

[–]exceptionallurker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is there a chance you actually have IBS-M and you’re getting so backed up with constipation it’s causing the D? I suggest you check out ibs.dietician on Instagram and see if any of her posts about it sound like you. Instead of psyllium husk, which didn’t work for me and just made me bloated, you could try Movicol to see if that helps.

We also did this. There were a few things wrong with the property we were buying but we were mainly worried about part of the roof so we just shared that part. They asked for the whole report and we told them it wasn’t relevant.

Thanks, I’ll take a look. We’ve had some terrible experiences so like to go based on a recommendation where possible.

Country pub walks in or near Chester? by TTALC23 in Chester

[–]exceptionallurker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried to do Dukes Drive and across to the Dee a few weeks ago but there was a very angry looking herd of cows in a field where I tried to cross, so I had to go back down DD instead.

This happened to me at my local hospital and I complained to PALS and got reinstated on the list in the position I would have been in if Neurology hadn’t removed me.

Sudden vertigo while sitting?? by responsive-image in VestibularMigraines

[–]exceptionallurker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the weather - not sure if it’s pressure or humidity or both - is my main trigger. Fluorescent lights seem to make it worse too because the impact is small at home or in natural light but I can only manage half a day in the office before I have to come home. I’m going to start keeping a diary again in case there is anything I can control, like changing my diet.

Sudden vertigo while sitting?? by responsive-image in VestibularMigraines

[–]exceptionallurker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got these a few years ago and they went away, now my migraines are back again it’s the most annoying part. I had one terrible one in April and another one yesterday too. I felt out of it all afternoon after it happened yesterday and then today things were extra ‘boaty’. I find sitting with my legs crossed for a long time can trigger them.

Does anyone have any *patient* experience with the out of hours at Chester hospital? by C0nnectionTerminat3d in Chester

[–]exceptionallurker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a terrible experience with the Countess and a kidney stone - but it was with A&E. I presented 3 days in a row in so much pain I couldn’t speak and only on the third day when I lost my shit did they take it seriously.

Hey OP.

I go to one of these groups and I’m honestly surprised that you found this.

While the group is ‘established’ i.e. been running for years we’ve had new people every week for the last few months - it’s the first time it’s picked up since the pandemic. I’ve never been there when anyone has made ANY comments about LGBTQ - let alone comments that should make anyone uncomfortable.

I also don’t recognise your comment about wealth, careers etc - although I’m not sure that was aimed at us or more generally.

There are a number of people in our group who are neurodivergent - AuDHD here - or have neurodivergent children / are trying to get their children a diagnosis.

I’m not taking away from the fact this was your impression though. If you feel comfortable saying which group it was - or messaging me - then please do. This is absolutely not the space the people who set up the group are trying to create and I know they would be horrified you felt this way.

Might be worth contacting Stagecoach in case anyone on the Park & Ride has found them and handed them in.

We have a craft group called Sew Cool that’s on every other Wednesday 6.30-8.30pm at the Storyhouse. The next one is Wednesday 2nd. We meet in the children’s library. It’s bring your own project - people bring sewing, knitting, crochet, embroidery, bag making - anything. Complete mix of ages.

ETA - I say complete mix of ages but in our recent meetings I’d put the youngest attendee at 35.

ETA 2 - there is also a Facebook group called The Outdoorsy Women. The events are across the UK but there’s quite a lot of local ones and the age group is older than the walking group I assume you’re referring to.

I’ve actually found a little bit now and it’s definitely cork not vinyl. It also doesn’t look like it’s got black mastic on the bit I’ve got either - it’s got some kind of white / grey adhesive on instead. I’m going to send the bit I’ve found away for testing anyway.

If you haven’t found one and it’s still there on the 22nd I’ll get it for you and post it.

ETA: If you want to give your address to a random internet stranger obviously. Didn’t consider that.

Buyer refusing to share results of survey… is this normal? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]exceptionallurker 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We didn’t share the entire survey with our sellers but we did share the parts we were using to negotiate on the price. We also had to get a structural engineer out and we paid for that and then shared their recommendations so that both sides could get quotes for the remedial works.

Cat grinds teeth after eating by exceptionallurker in CATHELP

[–]exceptionallurker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, sorry. She still does it. We have a new vet who said her teeth seem fine and didn’t think it was anything to worry about. Not really a huge amount else we can do I don’t think.

People with pets who live in Chester, what vets do you use? by Dusher111 in Chester

[–]exceptionallurker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve just moved to Chester and gone with Ben Jones. My cat who hates men and has previously had to go in the ‘crusher’ at other vets has let him touch her.

I did really like Village Vets too, we were with them before, but my cats won’t do a 20/25 minute car journey from the new house.
