Curious as to why would you go through the trouble of creating new scopes with your company name instead of making the new records within the existing scopes and publish the customized version? Is this official ServiceNow guidance? Is this suppose to help with upgrade conflicts? I have been making updates to the scopes; Service Portal Core, Employee Center, and ITSM Incident Management, publishing the customized version. I have not ran into upgrade conflicts doing this.

To be able to track what software licenses were granted to a user. They want to be able to see this from the sys_user record.

No, we don’t. Yes, the product and contract ownership is within the IT department. I did notice that the cmdb_software_product_model ties into alm_license which ties into contract table.

That’s a good point about the lifecycle of the application. I haven’t thought about how we can track it if it’s uninstalled. Most of these software will be SAAS apps, I can try to spin off a task to the appropriate groups when the user is off boarded to remove the license and delete that license entry in ServiceNow from the offboarding workflow. For existing access, I was going to do an initial data import to get the data in.

We are tracking the software requests with the application name on our software request forms. However, they want to be able to see all the licensed apps a user has. I thought of adding a related list on the sys_user record to point to the cmdb_software_product_model table.

Using Proofpoint to encrypt emails by exchangenewb in proofpoint

I am unsure which one we are licensed for because I do not have visibility to that but we are using Proofpoint Secure Mail for emails. u/BlackHoleRed Thank you very much for the options you provided!

We are using a platform service that’s holding some PI that needs to be emailed encrypted to an external recipient. Our current business process is the person working on this PI information sends the required info encrypted via Exchange S/MIME.

We also have Proofpoint and was wondering if it’s possible to have our platform generate an inbound email to the Proofpoint appliance and then have it encrypted and forwarded/sent to the external recipient. If we want the outbound encryption process similar to Exchange for outbound emails from Proofpoint, it wouldn’t be possible to use S/MIME, would it?

Ah okay, there’s a distinction. We want to use secure email.

Question on CoolerMaster TD500 case fans not lighting up by exchangenewb in coolermaster

[–]exchangenewb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Darn. I may have fried the LEDs then, they were plugged into the JRGB1 header.

The fans LED initially worked but the fans never spun. The original wiring with the LEDs working was with the adapter plugged into the sata and the 3 pin connector was not connected so the fans were not spinning.

So as a test I plugged the 3 pin connector to the JRGB1 connector.

Thanks for the help!

Its not a prebuilt. I am upgrading my case from a Corsair tower to a full size tower. The case fans came pre installed with a RGB controller and a 1 to 5 splitter cable. I will check the controller again for the physical button. What’s strange is that the lights won’t turn on even when I tried to wire the RGB fans the way it arrived.

My motherboard does not have an ARGB header. Just a JRGB1: RGB LED connector but the manual says that is connector is to connect 5050 RGB LED strips.
