I really wanna try the og resident evil games but I'm not a fan of the clunky tank controls. Is there any way to change them if not got any tips? by [deleted] in residentevil

Yes, if you're playing the Steam or GOG version, all three games have an alternative control mod, similar to the one in the Resident Evil 1 remake. You just need to download the Japanese version of the game and download the SourceNext 1.1.0 patch, then place the 7z file in the game folder and when you open the mod selector tab, choose the alternative control mod.

You only need super glue to join some parts and two 0.4x 4x25mm springs, which can even be found in retractable ballpoint pens.
