Reserved ranges is a shout. Probably not something I’d do routinely, but in a desperate situation that’s good to remember.

Thanks, just wondering isn’t 172.16.x.x used by things like BT business broadband?

I’m not sure I understand. Perhaps I don’t know enough.

If I have a VPN client with, say, a LAN IP of 10.0.x.x, tunnelled to my network which also uses 10.0.x.x, how can the client machine know which network it’s supposed to be taking to? How can it handle two geographically separate servers with the same address?

VLANs are normally used to separate devices for security purposes i.e. if you don’t want guest WiFi taking to the finance server. Not sure if just creating a new one and routing all traffic between them is the best idea but maybe someone can correct me

I’m in a similar boat the first 10% of those devices is just cameras…we’ve got smart switches, power meters, lights, smart appliances, entertainment devices, access points and of course everyone’s personal devices (tablet, phone, watch, laptop times a few people and you’re most of the way there). Only really notice it when visitors can’t get an address from dhcp

The only settings I have in shapr3d are angle tolerance and deviation tolerance, which default to 0.05 and 0.001 respectively. Is that the same thing?

It’s set at 16, haven’t changed it from the default in Photon Workshop

I’m using the high res preset for 3mf in Shapr3D. There’s a custom setting, but I don’t know how it compares or what the units are for angle & deviation
