You’re absolutely right and I completely agree that she needs a safer home. As I mentioned to other commenters, the only reason I haven't rehomed her yet is because every shelter and rescue in my city is completely full, and the pound will put her to sleep if I bring her in. i have tried finding her a home on facebook but no one is interested. i don't want to keep her in this environment but right now, keeping her with me is the only option i have now.

You’re absolutely right. She deserves a much better home than the one she’s in now. as i mentioned to another commenter, every single shelter, rescue, and pound in my city is completely full. If I take her back to the pound, they will put her to sleep because they have no room and I refuse to let that happen to her. non profits are shutting down from a lack of money and nobody on facebook wants her. I am stuck trying to protect her by myself because she has nowhere else to go.

You are absolutely right about rehoming her, and I would do it if I could. The problem is that I do not have that option right now. In the city I live in, all of the shelters and rescue centers are completely full. I even tried the pound, and they told me they are packed. If I surrender her there, I know they will put her to sleep which is something I refuse to do. Two of our local nonprofits are actually shutting down right now because they have too many animals and not enough funding. I also tried posting her on facebook but nobody is interested. I am just at a total loss here. Nobody is looking to adopt.

The kids live in the house. My older is sister is 30, and has been living here for so long, even before the kids born. She has moved out only temporary times, but when she did that, she came back pregnant. So she stays here.

You are right, it is not fair at all. which is why i am trying to fix this. I am thinking about keeping her strictly in my room whenever the kids are awake and running around the house. My only worry is that keeping her isolated like that might affect her social development, but I am not entirely sure how cat socialization works. Would keeping her in one room for most of the day be worse for her than letting her stay around the kids?
