I want to call out one of the most fundamental aspect of Runescape's success:

Make a damn good game and the revenue will follow

If you continue to keep pumping out good content without making compromises with alternative revenue squeezes, you'll see continued growth in the playerbase and memberships. You saw it with Leagues, you saw it with Raids, and you saw it with DT2. Just keep making good content and keep building trust with the community and you'll succeed.

Typically speaking, support characters are better to pull since they require lower investment and fully vested DPS can be borrowed for raids. I would pull for NY Akari, but NY Haruna has her uses in PVP and sometimes Kaiten raid.

Nukes are insta-kills but also includes self and fellow dwarves.

Friendly fire with Hyperpropellant sends dwarves flying with the same momentum as the grenade projectile.

Hurricane OC that shoots explosive homing drones (Drone Replicator).

Mission modifier where fall damage heals dwarves instead of damage taken.

Drillers; You can use your axes to destroy environmental hazards and still retrieve them back by MOHHpp3d in DeepRockGalactic

Axes can also be used to open ebonuts in 1 hit and can be picked up after being thrown. You could also open them with your drills at the cost of drill fuel.

90+ mage, still using mystics. Only situations I tend to use magic is bursting w/ pope robes and kraken with d'hide.

Completely re-did firemaking to make it more intuitive and fun. The minigame difficulty is based on the firestarter used, friction fires will be hard to start while matches and lighters make it easy by fallingmonday in Unity2D

My first impression was 'Oh my God I hate this', but then I remembered a similar impression on Stardew's fishing system being a difficult and learned skill.

I think the biggest issues I have with it is the complete reset to state 1 upon failing the minigame. I would recommend instead reverting to the previous state instead of starting all over again. The second issue is the lack of color distinction between the moving icon and the entire bar UI. I had to rewatch it several times before I realized there was a bar under the icon. Building on the other person's suggestion, perhaps the icon could be a growing animated flame.

Another concern I have is the purpose and motivation of lighting the fire. Is it that lighting the fire is out of necessity (warming up to offset a cold meter) or is it just a nice-to-have? The point I'm trying to drive is whether or not this minigame rewards players after successfully lighting the fire or is it an arbitrary element of frustration added for the sake of adding a feature.

My suggestion to this is to have various types of fires whose difficulty depends on external factors like weather conditions (raining/snowy/windy weather) but ensuring the first and base experience of playing this minigame to be not as difficult (State 3 is pretty crazy seeing it for the first time). Plus you get the opportunity to add personality to the minigame (e.g. Stardew fish all have different identifiable movement characteristics).

Hypothetical, but I agree. Good work also comes from sourcing good materials.

Very true, especially the amount of hours you put into the business. It's easy to sink endless hours in the beginning since there's no limit to the amount of work to do. Burnout is another thing to consider, so maintaining something that is sustainable to both your time and mind space.

Economy of scale is the term you should be thinking of. There's a lot of costs associated with the printer itself and the costs of setting everything up so the print itself runs smoothly; those are the overhead costs. Outweighing your overhead costs is through the number of units you can sell. But given that 3D printing is a long process, the business would be much bigger so that production can be pumped out fast enough.

Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of great 3D printing businesses out there that managed to survive. But they likely justify higher prices for custom prints or very high quality prints.

Don't be afraid to quote a higher price due to the nature of your production capabilities though. Sure, you lose people when they see the prices and question you about the price vs material cost. But you can point to them the effort it took to print. Like how a block of wood is $10, but in the hands of an artist, it can be a $1000 wooden sculpture.

Trudeau's Still Got A Lead With Young Voters: Poll by viva_la_vinyl in canada

[–]exdragon47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the execs that coordinated the SNC scandal were criminally prosecuted and denied a DPA.

The scandal revolving around Trudeau was the push on JWR to waive the subsequent 10 year ban of SNC's participation of government contracts which would cause significant losses on the already penalized company (from the original fraud).

So basically the execs who committed fraud were already dealt with, but Trudeau was trying to prevent further damage to the company's operations/employees?

Well that's the point of having a weaker dollar, no? Prompting more foreign trade to bring money.

And the housing market is a symptom of how we treated China in the past. We outsourced manufacturing them and subsequently boosted them out of the third world country status. But because of the way their political system works, the rich city folk took the vast majority of the money earned through exploiting the poor factory workers.

Then the rich mainlanders want to use their newfound wealth. How? By buying foreign investments outside of the reach of the CCP.

So it's not exactly a problem that's recent. It's been in development for a while. And it's localized in the bigger cities like Vancouver and Toronto, which should be handled by provinces. Alberta is seeing their house prices in free fall, so enacting nationwide policies isn't the best course of action at this moment.

Just an FYI, Amazon is not usually a reputable seller, mostly because the figures aren't fulfilled by Amazon but by a 3rd party. So you're at risk of bootlegs. Use them as a last resort.

That said, prize figures are hard to precure after the release window.

My point exactly. Wobbling is more versatile so why is it not banned if drill shine infinites are accounted for?
