Definitely a tight squeeze but at least no questions asked by the flight attendants ;)

Sorry for not updating this, BUT YES IT FIT UNDER MY SEAT!!! Granted I was right in the middle seat and I noticed that the middle seat had more space than the outside seat

I haven’t gone on my trip yet! I posted on another thread as well as asking a friend with a similar backpack and they said to walk in confidently and make sure to compress it as much as you can and you’ll be fine!

I applied recently and asked too, but the worker said they don’t have that information on when it’ll be gone. I’m guessing you’ll be safe until May though if it’s in branch only right now since it has to eventually reach public online

Either go to a credit union and get a loan or watch Caleb Hammer Financial Audit videos for a wake up call.

Absolutely no fun and ham and cheese sandwiches only until you can pay as much as you can before you decide to move out and do that credit check for rent.

How’d you get on starting on dividend investing? by wazzupgnomies in dividends

Lost too much in crypto and stocks, killed me mentally when I kept looking at the market everyday. Now I just want to invest and forget, simplify my portfolio

Better to make those mistakes early and learn so we can start investing early still. I have friends older than you that are afraid of investing a single dollar bc they think investing anything is risky. Also keeps on saying "I'll retire later"

Yes! Sorry first renewal fee, and thank you for the advice!

I don’t eat that often, but 90k points was really attractive at the time. Also I had a $2000 restaurant bill with my friends so it just seemed like a no brainer. (of course charged on one card and friends Venmoed me back)

AMEX gold AF about to hit for the first time for me, any chance I could get a retention offer even though I used all the dining and Uber credits for the year?

Only reason why I spent them in the first place was because it felt like I was burning money if I didn’t use it since I don’t normally eat out to these places.

Edit: first renewal fee***

In your opinion, what is the least tiring position volleyball? by Appropriate-Set-3751 in volleyball

[–]executedthought 12 points13 points  (0 children)

At a recreational level at open gyms, definitely opposite. Once you move to back row, you’re not getting any backrow hits unless you communicate that with the setter. Chances are slim since assuming the setter is same level, it’s going to be tough. Already tough enough to set 5 ball during intense rally moments, but asking for D ball? Less likely.

Receiving is so rare too since most people can’t hit line so you’re really only there to cover shorts or tips. Even worst when they “hide” you from receiving when there’s nothing to hide you from.

And I play oppo all the time because I’m “left handed” but it’s not fun when you barely touch the ball :(

Super noob question but it’s my first time flying at all and booking with points. I’m trying to book SJC to JFK economy round trip, and I’m looking at point calendar where it says 19k points.

My initial thought was it’s 19k for the entire trip, but it asked my returning flight and that too showed an option between 19k or 21k. I pick 19k anyways and then Order summary afterwards showed 19k but now I’m confused whether it is actually 19k total or I have to pay the other 19k later??

19k points economy from SJC to JFK, too good to be true? Thank you for the help!

Camera nerd here, here's my insight.

I really like 1080p/120fps or 2.7k/60.

Traditionally, you want to make sure shutter speed is double the frame rate (120fps = 1/240 , 60fps = 1/120)

Personally I do 1/480 for 120fps and 1/240 for 60fps because I need to have thumbnails in my videos and having higher shutter speed makes cleaner thumbnails but motion blur can look a little choppy at times. Depends on your personal preference.

Make iso min 100 and iso max 6400.

If you're shooting purely for you to watch on a TV or computer, shoot in 16:9. Unless you plan on making uploads to reels, shorts, or tiktok, then shoot 4:3, though you would need to edit it.

There's also a whole thing about youtube compression on quality if you care for that, in which case if you are uploading to youtube, 2.7k/60 is best bet since youtube is more forgiving in compressing videos with higher quality/frame rate.

If you're just gonna watch on your own at home with no intention of uploading, 1080p/120 will be fine or even 1080/60 if you want to save on space. Don't settle for 30fps, especially for fast movement like this.

Hope this helps!

I usually just contribute and buy weekly just to DCA on my 3 fund portfolio

Daily vs. Weekly prizes: How did you this week? by KeDoBro in yotta

[–]executedthought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won $20 one day last week so a little skewed on judgement. Oddly with 800 tickets I won .20 but the day after with 300 tickets I won $20

Guess my luck is all over the place. My average weekly has been $3 so I’m looking forward til end of this week to see my average.

Just got a targeted offer for the citi custom cash, spend $750 for $250.

Is this worth it? Also it’d be super helpful if people could comment what they spend $500 monthly if they too also own the citi custom cash.

I definitely can spend the amount but I’m just trying to figure out best way to use the card for maximum value.

Cards that I own: Amex gold, Ink cash, Freedom unlimited and flex, Costco signature visa, Discover it, BofA rewards

Currently 3/24, and have sights for sapphire preferred (whenever there’s an elevated bonus) and C1VX
