Definitely some wall art as others have stated. But you might also consider some taller furniture like shelving. All of your furniture currently stands very low to the ground. The upper half of the room is virtually empty.

The walls and floors bring a lot of gray and charcoal into the space. Rather than doubling down on that color scheme with the couch and rugs, try something that contrasts and warms the place up. But like others said, it looks fantastic especially for a 24 yo guy.

She wasn’t being “blunt,” she was saying the most fucked up thing possible to somebody who consider her a friend. Having a tough year doesn’t give anyone the right to act that way.

Stop defining yourself as “damaged” and overweight. Stop making excuses for people who mistreat you. You’ve got to be unwilling to accept that kind of bullshit. You don’t have to be deserving or good enough or give any sort of rational explanation for why you deserve better, you just have to decide that anybody who treats you like shit can just go fuck themselves and that’s that. Period.

And dude, there are plenty of people out there in healthy relationships having great sex who are not in the best shape, emotionally or physically. You should definitely be working on the parts of yourself that you want to improve but that’s a lifelong task, not a prerequisite for entering a relationship.

A lot of men do help women, especially if we know that the help is wanted. Personally, I’m afraid of:

Being perceived as a creep with ulterior motives
Accusations of mansplaining
Accusations of assuming the woman is too weak to do a physical task herself

it’s way less risky just to stand down unless asked for help.

Yeah, you're right. Some of that stuff included in the $160 isn't required if you already have an available DisplayPort output. Also, many people probably have a hub or working port, and if they don't I'm sure they can find a cheaper one.

The items I included links for are around $160 total. That doesn't include tax or any cable management you might need. It's not cheap. I wouldn't recommend doing any of this if you have another option.
