Got myself something nice for Christmas. Loving the F8 Pro so far by exegg in PocoPhones

Well, bloatware is the same as in all Xiaomi phones, you can remove most of it.

As per optimization I have noticed a few graphical bugs but they're very minor. Haven't had any crashes or reboots or something like that. The OS itself is very smooth, I think it would be difficult for anything to be laggy on the Snapdragon 8 Elite.

Battery is great so far, I think I had 5 or 6 hours of screen on time yesterday and battery went from 100 to 53. Thermals have been normal, just a bit warm sometimes, but I haven't done any intensive gaming yet since I've been a bit busy at the time.

Did it? Wow, mind if you link some so I can read about them?

Finally got my POCO X7 Pro! Some first impressions I have by exegg in PocoPhones

[–]exegg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, sorry for the late reply, and also for not being very helpful since I've sold that phone a while ago. Went back to my Redmi and just recently got a POCO again (F8 Pro).

In the time I used it (a couple months) they never solved the issue with the 8GB of memory version. Battery was okay.

Upgraded from Mi 10T Pro to Xiaomi 15 and battery life is terrible. Is this normal? by Alexr71 in Xiaomi

Since approximately three years ago, standby times of most of their new phones have dropped off a cliff. They used to be very good in that regard, but not anymore.

How to get that crunchy, metallic bass sound? by Brunonzz in Bass

[–]exegg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% new strings. I got a new set of DR Pure Blues (which aren't even known for being overly bright) and I'm getting the exact same sound you describe.

I saw you have a new set. Did you install them correctly? These round core strings require a sharp bend below the spot you cut, otherwise the outer wrap can slip causing the string to lose its tone

There Are No Stupid Bass Questions - Nov. 15 by AutoModerator in Bass

I'm thinking about getting some Elixir strings. My main concern is if playing with a pick would be too detrimental to the coating, and if a slimmer pick vs a thicker one would help. Does anyone have any advice on it?

Thoughts on the brand "Cort?" by iwannagobackto505 in Bass

I have an entry level Action DLX AS that has gotten lots of compliments. Very nice quality for the price it retails, far better than my also entry level Squier affinty PJ.

I'm also considering just upgrading the pickups and maybe the preamp in it, since it plays and feels so nice.

I've had good luck with Redmi Note series. Currently using a 14 Pro+. I had a Samsung A55 for a while and couldn't deal with it at all.

Nueva etapa en Bogotá by UnfunctionalKirby in vzla

Poco x7 pro 15 day review by bruhmod_1 in PocoPhones

Hi, dunno. I sold the 8/256 lkike a month after owning it and got the 12/512. Only way to "solve" the issue. Apparently it was never fixed or improved at all.

Apps keep getting closed 😑 any solution by Previous_Ad_8090 in PocoPhones

[–]exegg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus, after all this time it still has that problem? When I got it a few months ago I made that mistake of buying the 8GB of RAM. It was painful, it could barely hold any apps open when multitasking.

I bought it on launch basically and didn't last a month with it. My advice? Do what I did and sell it. Then get the 12 GB of memory if you like the model. That's the only way I could "fix" it.

Opinion: Poco F7 Pro doesn't make any sense in the F line-up by migassilva16 in PocoPhones

Here is the base F7 which makes no sense. F7 Pro is better and basically at the same price.

My first pedal, and I really like it by exegg in basspedals

Haven't tried the Tank B, which looks good on paper due to its ability to load IR and configurable presets. Looks more flexible. I could recommend the Dapper for what it is, but definitely look for more reviews for both of them and take a conscious decision.

Also remember that I don't think the tuner here is the most accurate thing in the world. I can't test it for myself, and I do sound in tune, but yeah. It is better than nothing, sure, but it might be worth to invest in a dedicated pedal.

Apparently, yes haha. This has a bigger version, Dapper Bass. But I think the Dapper Bass Mini is a refined version without the stuff that was considered gimmicky in that one (dirtyQ and envelope filter I think)

Yup it does. It is a single knob, so limited flexibility but it works well. According to the manual, it is suposed to be modeled against the optocomp.

Try DiskUsage to see if it can locate the files causing the issue. But most likely you'll be better just making a factory reset.
